If you have that whining noise and your screen is dimmer than usual, check your capacitors! I opened my old Acer up and the caps were completely bloated and leaking. This kit fixed exactly all the troubled caps. Easy and to the point selection of caps. Highly recommended! If you're handy with a soldering iron, the total repair took me about 30 minutes. Hardest part was disassembly.
