LUMIMAN Smart WiFi Table Lamp, LED RGBW Dimmable Multicolored Color Changing, Compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant, No Hub Required

I first set these bulbs up with lumiman app as per instructions, but many tries later, still couldn't get Alexa to link. Tried to get Alexa to connect to Lumiman app; but Alexa always found SmartLIFE app when asked for Lumiman. Deleted Lumiman app, set up bulbs with SmartLIFE app, then everything worked fine (well, one bulb I had to set up twice before it worked, but that's par for the course). Colors and dimming now work with Alexa. Deducted one star for misleading instructions.

The bulbs work well using the Alexa Echo dot. The Turn on/off/color/brightness change etc... works very reliability and they are very bright in the daylight mode.There is a logic fault in the bulb that needs to be addressed. As you know the bulbs need to be rapidly flashing to program and if they are not flashing, the directions say to power cycle 3 times. This is all well and good and performs a reset and gets things back to a virgin state.The problem arises when there is a power outage/restore 3 times before the lamp operates. It seems that any 3 breaks in power over any length of time ( even several hours ) will cause the lamps to flash brightly as they are now reset. This reset/flash presents several issues 1. The lights are very annoying when they reset- almost painful. 2. If you are not home, maybe on vacation, and this flashing starts what will the neighbors think is happening?In my opinion the "3 power cycle reset" sequence should be designed so that the power cycling must be done in 1 minute (or some other reasonably short time) to stop the majority of accidental resets.

 I had no trouble connecting the first two bulbs. I reordered two more and had difficulty connecting them (even though one was going right next to another I had already installed). I finally got the 2nd batch to work by screwing them into a lamp that was near my router, then sitting next to my lamp and routher with my phone/app. After I was successful, I then moved the bulbs to my locations of choice. Secondly, grouping them with the PlusMinus(formerly Luminem) app was a pain; it kept adding one of my four lights though I had not added it to the group. I had to constantly go back into the group and uncheck. For the moment it's working. Also, grouping on the PlusMinus does not work with Google/Alexa voice command; you will have to set up a group on Alexa/Google. You will get more color accuracy by using the app. If you don't care and the basic colors will do (blue, red, yellow, green, purple, white, bright white, etc.) then voice commands will work (see my attached video to get an idea). Bottom line, thought it is somewhat of a pain to set up, it's a lot less expensive than Phillips Hue products!

I bought these 2 color changing smart bulbs and set them up following the instructions. It is surprisingly easy, I found the LUMIMAN's setup videos on Youtube and get them connected to the LUMIMAN app and then Alexa. They work with my Amazon Echo flawlessly. After setting them up, I shared these devices with my husband, then he can control the light bulbs without setting up on the apps again.These light bulbs not only have the color option, but also have very bright and natural white color. I love the cozy soft white and yellow, while my husband likes the changing colors. Great job, LUMIMAN. I definitely will buy more of these for the other lights in our place, and try their other smart devices.

One of the things that I’ve been waiting for for a long time are lightbulbs that don’t require a hub, and that I can control completely through Alexa. I thought that these lightbulbs would do the trick, but after hooking them up to our Wi-Fi I found out that the only way that you can control the colors is via the 3rd party app.While this may not seem like it’s a big deal, everything else in our house is voice controlled. The whole purpose of our purchase was to have the ability to control the color of the lights via setting a scene through Alexa like you can with Hue lights. Unfortunately after fiddling with it for many minutes, I couldn’t figure out any way of setting a scene other than turning the lights on and off. I suppose we will have to wait until something else comes along (maybe it’ll just be an app update?). Still this far is disappointing :(.Other things about these lights:- In terms of color reproduction these lights were actually pretty good. The reds were very red, greens very green, etc. The ranges were also great.- The set up was extremely easy, and paired with everything perfectly.- I encountered no errors in set up- Controlling them via the app was actually very easy, but obviously requires you to have your cell phone on you at all times if you want to change the colors or intensities.- One of my more favorite things about these lights is that the color warmth can be adjusted between white light and warm light. This means that these can be universal depending on what room you want to put them in.The long story short: If you want to control colors with Alexa or otherwise, keep looking :/

Received really fast, had no problem set up, so easy to use and a looooooooooooot of colors to choose. Set up as porch light, when holiday comes, will change to different color!!
