Quality, versatile product. Professional results.
The GEEKOTO ring light and stand (with included cell phone holder) is a quality piece of lighting equipment. The build is top-notch with verity intuitive controls. With a variable color temperature control between 3300K and 5600K, you have plenty of room to style your shoot taking into account your ambient lighting. As well, the brightness levels are also versatile. The combination of these two controls allow you to get your shots correct in-camera, which will give you an efficient session. The ring light is 18" and is perfect for a DSLR. It's build quality, as mentioned, is very good. There's an included cell phone holder, which works as advertised. While I shoot with a DSLR, I have no problem in using the holder in a pinch for models to use for BTS selfies. It's easily mounted, and easy to attach a cell phone to.The attached power cord works to satisfaction and is constructed well enough. Though I'd suggest packing an extension cord as well to provide more range away from an outlet. This is not a problem, as extension cords are cheap and would easily fit into the carrying case. The included stand is also a quality piece of equipment, providing you sufficient height to with standing poses as well as seated poses. The controls for locking everything into place are built well, and I have no doubt this will hold up under normal usage- either in-studio or lugging it around to locations. The carry bag is nicely made, as well as theAs a photographer working with stylists and makeup artists, I will no doubt sing its praises and take with me when needed. I highly recommend this product due to its quality, features and price value. This is now a permanent part of my gear for models and beauty shots.

Very Good Ring Light - I'm Impressed
Welcome to another Dad's Den review. For the full video review, please my YouTube channel at Dad's Den.REVIEWDesign/Features:This ring light arrives with everything that Geekoto promises. The carrying case is light and durable. The tripod was easy to adjust and is solid even after the ring light with a DSLR camera is attached. The ability to adjust the ring lights height from 73 inches to 38 inches was great. I also like how easy it is to adjust the light up to 180 degrees up and down. The size of the ring light is also nice. It doesn't take up a ton of space in my office. You can attach a DSLR camera, cell phone and more to the top of the tripod that will fit right inside your ring light. That was you can look directly into the camera and have all the lighting right on you. See attached photo. It also comes with a cell phone holder attachment as well.Performance:This light is extremely versatile in its use. It can be extremely bright if you want it to or dim down for a really cool, darker look. I also really liked the ability to change the temperature of the light from bright white to a dimmer yellow. It is really easy to set up and easy to learn the adjustments as it's literally a turn of the dial to achieve the look you want. One other thing I liked about this light is the fact that it doesn't produce a lot of heat while on. Basic studio light will push out heat and make you hot when you are in front of the camera. This ring light won't do that.Overall/Recommendation:If you are looking for a quality ring light that has everything in the kit, this is a solid choice. Geekoto has really thought of everything with this ring light. Nice work.

Excellent Product!
Geekoto 18-inch ring light and stand review:ProsVariable color temperature control between 3300K and 5600K, is wonderful easily able to match ambient light in room. Additionally you have brightness control that covers a large spectrum of luminance.Lightweight, and portable, also comes with a carrying case making transport manageable.Very affordable and easy to assemble.Tripod is extremely versatile regarding height and orientation, making it a pleasure to adapt in various lighting situations and angles. Will reach heights of almost 80 inches.Stayed cool after extended use.Affordable.Allows use of rechargeable batteries, which is wonderful if no electric outlets are available in shoot.ConsIf tripod is fully extended the ring light portion is somewhat bulky, potentially allowing the light to tip over.I would like to have a longer power cord, but this can be easily fixed with an extension cord. Conclusion: I highly recommend this product based on its quality and price point.

GEEKOTO VS. UBEEZIE for Self-Tapes
Since my goal with a ring light is lighting, I recommend the GEEKOTO...with a few upgrades. I bought and compared this GEEKOTO ring light and a UBeesize ring light. They're both 3000K-6000K, the same size, and I've used both for 3-5 years. The GEEKOTO is somehow much brighter...significantly brighter. The phone mount is too small to fit an iPhone Max (with a case). The stand adjusts by tightening and loosening bolts. If you use the stand a lot, then the metal will get weaker and the stand becomes less sturdy over time. I worked around the phone mount and stand for a couple of years. Then, I decided to try a new light. This time, I bought the UBeezie ring light and was massively disappointed by the light quality. I liked the UBeezie stand and phone mount, and so I ultimately to combine the best of both. Now, I use my UBeezie stand, UBeezie phone mount with my GEEKOTO ring light and bag. I saved the extra parts as a travel set or backup. If GEEKOTO provided a sturdier, more functional stand and better phone mount, I'd choose GEEKOTO every time.GEEKOTO VS. UBEEZIEBrighter- Both are 3000K-6000K. Somehow, the GEEKOTO is much brighter.Stand- GEEKOTO stand must be tightened via bolts and weak metal. They bend and become unpredictable overtime. The Ubeezie stand has a quick-release system. It's faster, easier to use, and the balance is better.Phone Mount- GEEKOTO doesn't fit an iPhone Max (with a case). UBEEZIE fits an iPhone Max.
