Bruises minimized
The top keeps rolling down my leg. Will not stay put so I have learned to run with them pulled down. Once I get to an obstacle requiring pressure on the knees / shins such as crawling I pull them up. I'm very glad I have them. I have used them for over 10 races and they have held up. No tears yet!

I was actually happy with these.
Used them in the bad ass dash. I was pleasantly surprised and they really saved the day for crawling through tunnels.

They work, but hard to keep up. I ...
They work, but hard to keep up. I ended up wrapping tape below the knee and above it the knee surrounding the pad. Worked out good

I have become a huge fan!!!
I just used the full set... arms and legs... at the Red Deer ,Alberta Spartan Super and Sprint... and I have to say I am a believer, totally impressed with this product!!It took a bit to figure out I needed to pull them up farther than I thought I would, but once I got them pulled up to above mid-thigh, and they got wet, they stuck like glue and stayed right where they needed to be through the whole races... even after miles of running single-track trails and jumping over obstacles they still did not slide down.I believe these run a little large, I would advise ordering one size down than you think you need. When I got into the mud pits, muddy barbed wire, and especially crawling out the steep muddy mounds on the edge of the pits, it was almost as if my elbows and knees and shins had grown cleats... they gripped in the mud as good as the bottoms of my shoe would and had me moving along at a much better Pace had I not been wearing them at all. I was also told that there was rocks at the bottom of the mud, but I did not feel them one bit. The slip walls were the muddiest I have ever seen, so instead of using the rope from the beginning, I got a running start and literally threw myself against the wall hoping to slide upward, and my knees did not feel a thing from the impact. They clean up nicely and hold almost no mud at all through the soaking and cleaninf process and still stick just as good as they did when they were new out of the box.Looking forward to using them again at the rest of my Spartan / OCR races throughout the season!!!

because tomorrow is a work day
I have used both the arms and legs in obstacles races but mostly in martial arts class. We often practice outside, no mats there. The padding make the all the difference. It makes going to work the next day a lot easier.
