Irreverent and Rings True.
This is one of my favorite books. Its not very long but I love the irreverence and astute social commentary that still rings true.

Funny Read. I enjoyed it.
Funny read. Although somewhat dated in sensibilities. If people don't keep in mind the times this work was created, I can see some would take offense.

Vonnegut is timeless and can appeal to all age groups.
There is something in this book for everyone, regardless of orientation.

Love the author’s book, but not the physical book
I like this Vonnegut work, but this printing has issues. Actually I 100% believed the wonky alignment was intentional (to screw with the reader). It seemed to worsen towards the end of the book, so I thought that was intentional as it reached the climax. Nope, just a lousy print job.

I wish we had more books like this one.
The book was published 51 years ago for the first time. It's still a fresher, experimental, and unusual book you can read. My top 10 of the best American books ever.

I can't believe it's taken me 55 years to finally read Vonnegut...
... and Breakfast of Champions is my first of his to read. While I enjoyed it -- it's odd, it's occasionally funny, it's a blistering (though unsystematic) critique of many social problems, and it has those drawings -- I began growing tired of his writing style toward the final quarter of the book. Don't get me wrong, it is very easy to read. In fact, too easy, but with so many asides and quick thoughts that began to lose their impression on me. I found myself just looking at the paragraphs, hardly reading each individual word, to see what he was saying. And I grew a little bored as a result, even though the story was reaching its finale and I definitely wanted to know how it would end.I don't know. I'm all for satire, surrealism, what have you, but I now hesitate to read any of his other books. If they're written in the same style, I might just skip them. 3.7, rounds to 4, though I'm tempted to round it down to 3.

Strangely engaging
A story of a stark world of real, made-up people/machines who transform before your eyes, even if your eyes are closed to the real world just as tightly as the characters’ eyes appear to be. A story told with full self-consciousness, that even allows the writer to occupy an space in it, amongst “his” characters. A marvelous satire which is at the same time a parody of its own satire. A story the turns back on itself before releasing us all as “free” to live our own story. Facts make stories, as it is demonstrated throughout the book, but then what if the fact is fiction. Well, then it’s a Vonnegut.

Lunch of libraries
Food for thought at the very least. Lot's of interesting bits in this novel but I wouldn't recommend as an introduction to the author.

Hilarious and Very well written book
I don't think I have read many books written in this style of writing (The little prince comes close to the style of writing but not at all to the humour). I enjoyed reading this book and especially the sketches the author drew to illustrate things (you'd laugh out LOUD- literally). I have been recommending this book to friends offline, and I thought I should leave a review here as well. If you are thinking of buying this one, then go at it already. Easily it will be the top few books you will have read (Yes, it's that good) :)

Vonnegut is the master
This guy is in the top five of my favourite writers of all time and this is a book that does not disappoint at all. What an incredibly inventive and wonderful writer. His observations about life and in particular about Americans are dazzlingly astute, entertaining and scary. I can’t tell if his books are horror or science fiction or psychological thrillers or social commentary or comedy... a bit of all that. What I do know is that they make my life a hell of a lot more tasty.

Sencillez y gracia que llevan a reflexionar
Como siempre, este autor muestra una sensibilidad especial para representar con humor lo absurdo de la vida humana y sus penas. Te hará reír, mucho, pero a veces con una sonrisa amarga.
