Root-Rot Be Gone with Drain-Smart!
For the last two years, I have been container-gardening, and I could not figure out why the leaves of my plants were turning yellow after a few months, Well, I read about root rot, and the solution was the create a reservoir below the soil in a pot, to prevent plant roots from sitting in stagnant water for weeks. I put this drain smart in the bottom of all of my plants, and so far, no root rot! Only wish they sold it in square size/shape, as I have some square planters that could use this. I was able to cut the circular size to fit, but I wasted a lot of the material trying to get a square shape. All in all, a great way to keep your contained plants healthy and rot-free!

Expensive but they work well, super easy to use.
We bought these to prevent debris from falling out of our pots and onto our terrace drain (I know, first world problems). So far these have worked well, water drains out just fine, is brownish but without any debris escaping. They're just a bit expensive. But man, if you're too busy to DIY, these do the job. Worth it! So easy.Container drainage hole size: pretty small (not much bigger than 3/8" diameter) - so I'm not entirely sure we needed them.Soil: MiracleGro Potting Soil (the new stuff in the blue bag)

great product, with an interesting possible use
4 stars because if your plant bottom isn't precisely 12.1" diameter in bottom,it's a bit annoying that it has no malleability. I've chopped up some though into smaller chunks and used to build a multi layer base. Personally I think that's the best use of this type of product - inserted into the bottom or middle of an interior, no drainage pot, allows some buffer to prevent soil from compressing over time.

Drain smart 12" 3 pack
I love the fact that I don't have to use heavy rocks for drainage. This drains well and is very light weight so as not to add unwanted weight to the plant. Well worth the price to me.

Expensive, but works well
I usually just cut landscape fabric to fit the bottom of my pots, but I thought I'd give these a shot. They're very easy to trim to fit, and they work well for drainage. At the price they are, I don't think I'd order them again though.

Love them!
Love these pot liners. They provide great drainage without having to load the bottom of the pot with gravel, which ultimately gets clogged. Used them in all my new plantings.

Works great--much better than bark!
We've been using these for about six months now, and all reports are positive! We used bark for years, but after giving Drain Smart a go, can honestly say we won't be doing bark again anytime soon. Would definitely recommend this product.

Very useful gardening toool
Like the drain smart discs very much; I cut them to fit in smaller pots and the 3-pack has fit all my gardening needs. I put them in all my potted plants to keep soil and pebbles from draining out of the hole
