It works on Time Warner (Texas) and is very reliable possibly more than the SB6141
Buy it!!!If you were considering the Motorola surfboard SB-6141, get this instead.Yes buy ure own modem u'll save $6+ on your bill. after a few years it adds up (not to mention your ISP tweaks their equipment to the limitation they seem fit)I have only spent a few hours with my blurex so far but I have seen them in the wild (@ my friends house - he likes going against the grain) so far it works much better than the SB6141 (faster too) as my friend already said it will. These Blurex devices seem to have very little complaints as compared to its motorola equivalent which is the current industry standard and also other brands. (moto been having time out issues and overheating issues).Pros.- First off it its more attractive- seems to be a bit better made than the 6141- doesn't heat up as much- lower latency- seems to resolve sites faster too (i have no idea why but this thing is snappy, maybe its because its new- who knows)- its cheaperCons- Time Warner will tell you they dont support this modem and will refuse to set it up.(Solution> Tell a Bold Face Lie;lol, seriously, to get them to set it up since they refused after telling them the brand, i had to hang up call again and on the second occasion tell them its a "motorola surfboard SB6141" then give them the MAC ID, they will also ask if its a Docsis 3.0 modem just say yes, because it really is and boom youre done. the lights will flicker momentarily > give it about 5 mins to sort itself out then reboot it and connect it directly to a computer to ensure functionality = after you have confirmed it works then you can connect it to your wireless device >be sure to reboot both devices at this time again).- poor customer support as others have stated (chances are you wont need it anyway, if you do might as well return it)So yea it works beautifully, i suspect they dont want people to use this device on their networks since they dont have as much control over these as they do with the motorolas and other devices they have listed as compatible.I really hate these sneaky telecom companies, they are always pulling a bag of tricks; Sadly, we have no choice until Google Fiber gets to our area (they are currently 60miles away down the road from us).I will update if I or my friend have any issues at a later date.

Working just fine now.
Upon initial hook-up, my internet installer couldn't get it to work. It's still unclear whether or not it was user error or the device it's safe; a couple days later I called my internet provider and was able to get cranking. Working just fine now.

Works Great!
I purchased this to replace a ubee docsis 2.0 modem that still worked fine and was the same model time warner installed when I started service in the Charlotte NC area. I only purchased this to get the faster speeds that my package was capable of. I did have to call twc to set it up and they only needed the mac address not the name or model of the modem. It took a little work for the twc person but he got it working soon and in just one call. It works great so far. It's larger than my small ubee model but it is more attractive and I think the lights are less annoying than my ubee which seemed too bright. These are a ring of blue or green light around the indicators instead of being fully lit. I did a speed test and it was roughly 94/11. I still use my Asus rtn13u wireless router that I bought here about 5 years ago and rarely ever had a problem with but it was hard to get it working with this modem. I finally did but it took a few hours but it's an Asus problem because I remember having trouble setting it up with the ubee as well something about the wrong ip even though it was never changed. Other brand routers probably are easier to set up. Now that everything works it works well. No problems with plugged in or wifi devices. All connections work well. If you were thinking about the $70 Motorola SB6141 I recommend this $40 Blurex instead because of the price and very similar specs.

Worked for 6 days
It was a very easy setup and worked great with my Time Warner. It worked for 6 days flawlessly and then suddenly died. I returned it to amazon.

Cheap, but wont work for some
Gave it 2 because it looks nice, but beware as most cable providers will not allow it on their network. Best bet to get a motorola/arris, cost more, but at least you can avoid the headache of finding out it will not work for some unknown reason.

Otherwise everything looked wonderful about this modem
This product was not compatible with my cable company, Cable One. Definitely add that to the list of non-providers. Otherwise everything looked wonderful about this modem. It was light, elegant and just what I was looking for.

nice, simple, and cost saving
Connected modem directly to computer and isp, after a few moments booting up, Time Warner automatically opened up a modem setup page.Unfortunately, it's not in the accepted list. Had to make a call, I told them that it was a Moto surfboard as others have stated. Gave them the Mac address and they registered and sent a reboot signal and bang, up and running.Rep. said that it was giving him errors probably because it's not the brand I said, but it worked immediately.immediately checked speed and kept getting over promised speed.with TWC modem I would really only get half of promised speed as a max.I kept using speed tests that aren't owned by the ISP's, mainly avoiding the more known ones. Those kept saying speed promised, I used the ones that aren't owned by ISP's and it would give me max half of promised when using the rented modem, with my new modem I kept getting over speed promised, true .5-.6 over but it's still all useful.Plus as a bonus got an automatic permanent discount on my bill of $11 from TWC for the rental. The rep. actually brought it up and set it up without my asking. My only gripe is that there was no documentation, the only pamphlet showed how to connect, ( not needed) and is lacking user/password and how to upgrade firmware.
