Tactical Combat Survival Hatchet Axe
This hatchet is very well made and durable. The blade is extremely sharp as is the point on the opposite side. It has a slot in the end of the handle for a wrist strap which is not included. The holster opens on the bottom and closes with snaps. So far it seems adequate for the job. Very nice tool and the supplier's shipping was very quick.

Awesome hawk... with a couple of drawbacks
Let's start with the failures. 1) The sheath - it's a good quality material, but the build is a little off. There's a belt strap on the back that no-one in their right mind would ever use. If you do, you can't get the hawk out of the sheath because of the position. So why waist the material?; 2) The Paracord Wrap - REALLY? What were you guys thinking? As wraps go this is one of the worst I've ever seen. The fact that there are sections of the handle for wrapping is a great idea. The wrap job is less so. Tucking one end under and then "tacking" the other with a little heat means that during actual use, it's going to unwrap pretty quick. Mine did, so I replaced it with real paracord and properly wrapped it.Now for the so-so part. The Pick/Spike/Whatever-ya-call-it - this is somewhat useful in that you can trench with it, you can use it to spike wood to carry (if you don't mind having a very sharp blade pointed at you) and you can of course spike zombies in the head! BUT... when using the hawk to cut limbs (we'll get to that later) or do other bushcraft you have that sharp spike facing you. When chopping, if you swing it wrong, you could injure yourself or someone else.HERE'S THE AWESOME PART - 1) It's sharp as could be straight from the factory; 2) it's a full length, single piece of steel; 3) After re-wrapping the handle with good quality 550 cord the handle is comfortable for all day use (i've done it) ; 4) I used a die grinder and removed the spike to create a slightly curved poll on the back of the head with 90* edges to make it multi-functional (can scrape a ferro rod, can drive shelter/tent pegs, can chop); 5) quickly cuts through up to 4 inch linbs, (could probably do larger with time); 6) light weight, it swings like crazy and by sliding your hand to the rear will eat up wood fast; 7) the curve of the blade enable it to be used as a scraper for shaving wood for fire bedding, or even for skinning.BOTTOM LINE IS --- BUY A FEW OF THESE!!!

quality product
it appears to be a quality built product and will withstand a lot of abuse. It's appealing to look at and should provide several years of use at the campground.

Waste of money. NOT DURABLE!!!
Broke on the 3rd throw. (That's $10 a toss!) The metal snapped just below the head. Looks good, works like $&1T.
