The Dutch and their Bikes: Scenes from a Nation of Cyclists

Beautiful book of pictures with all situations. I just missed bed back tand California after ten years in Amsterdam and the book so reminds me of my second home.

I just received this book today. It is fabulous, gorgeous pics of everyday Dutch cycling. So normal, so unpretentious, I have to say I feel a little envious of the Dutch, such a sustainable way of transport. I wish we had a system here in the US, it really makes sense. Great book!!

Bought as a memento of a cycling holiday on the Zeiderzee and in Amsterdam. A wonderful collection of photographs recording the extensive relationship the Dutch have with the bicycle and evoking some wonderful memories of my visit.

A great present for anyone with any interest in Holland and Dutch life.

J'ai adoré le livre et ses nombreuses photos, tellement représentatives de la Hollande (mon mari est hollandais !). Je reste toujours fascinée de l'aisance des hollandais avec leurs vélos, quels que soient leurs déplacements, leurs courses, leurs enfants (même en très bas age) et du bien être que cela procure de les imiter ! J'ai du mal à retrouver ma voiture et le manque de place pour la circulation à vélo quand je rentre en France.Ce livre me fait rêver !
