Radiator cooling fan power source
Are used the water generator for Radiator cooling fan power source application on my Honda CRF 450 in the radiator line specifically for powering Radiator fans to keep the engine cool on a super Moto conversion to Street legal

Expect less than 1/2W at household pressure
I've tried several generators of this type and this range of output. I like this one the best. First, it's clear, so you can see when it starts spinning. That's surprisingly helpful. Second, it isn't just a DC motor being used as a generator. It actually generates 3-phase AC, which is then converted to DC with a six diode bridge rectifier. It's probably a efficient as you can expect.Having said that, have realistic expectations. The 10W rating is not what the power you will get out of it. In fact, the specs say max 220 mA at 12V. That's only 2.6W. Frankly, I don't know how you would get that. Maybe that's at its max pressure rating, but 1.6Mbar is like 170PSI. Normal house pressure is about 70PSI. In reality, if you connect it to house pressure (garden hose) and turn it up all the way, expect about 1/3W, roughly. At 5V, that's low compared to a USB charger, which are 1/2W minimum.Still, if you have a low current application, like powering a sensor or charging a small battery, it works well. In fact, I would say it is as good as you can get.I'll also mention that all of these Asian companies produce pipe threading that just doesn't match well with US fittings. In my case, I connect it using garden hose fittings, so I use 1/2" to garden hose adapters: female in, male out. I use a silicone sealant/adhesive on the threads, rather than pipe tape or pipe dope, which makes them permanently and well sealed. Otherwise, you're likely to struggle with leaks.

Great idea, but doesn’t work.
I bought this for my son’s science fair project on renewable energy. We dammed a local stream to generate electricity and wanted a low cost turbine to light a bulb or charge a battery pack. This 5v unit seemed perfect being small, cheap and (apparently) delivering a regular voltage. In reality, even with a strong flow with large head of water the unit would not spin up.We tried it again at home using the bath faucet on full blast. We only just spun the turbine and as soon as we applied a load it immediately stopped turning. The problem is that it’s just too small a diameter with too small an inlet. You need an exceptionally high glow to generate anything. You’d need to fit it to a pressure washer to generate anything close to 10W.Save your money.

So far so good
I got it the other day and I’m kinda still getting it up and running since I’m new to this kind of technology but it’s working like it is supposed too.
