I have 7 cats, I buy almost every brand imaginable and rotate everything. When this brand rotates in, they devour it. Every meal I give them 2 different kinds of dry a little of each, 2 different kinds of canned(large and small) and an envelope or half a sheba.I pour a little water into the almost empty can & pour the mix over the dry.I prefer 5.5oz cans or 6oz. I split one large and one small can between all 7.

the cats seemed to be going off their friskies wet food, and I was finding more and more bone fragments in their bowls. I was also having to toss a lot of it. left for too long, it gets crusty. the blue buffalo is so much more expensive it's painful, but at least I'm only feeding a dozen now, rather than 70-something. and my job allows as much overtime as I can handle, so. looks like I'll be doing the blue buffalo for the nonce.I bought their dry food, first. no "transitioning" needed, the cats scarfed it right up. I had some concerns about the wet food since several reviewers said they felt they were being shipped old food and were also getting dented cans. this case had nothing but perfect cans with 2019 expiration dates.I still have a few cases of the friskies, and have been placing that food beneath the blue buffalo food so it gets soaked by that juice. they're eating it all now and licking the bowls clean. I could probably continue "adulterating" to save some money, but will likely not go that route. all of the cats arrived after having been badly abused and injured by humans, and my goal has been to spoil them rotten for the rest of their days. I don't mind doing overtime if it means keeping them in good food (though I will be looking for coupons).not having to make food runs is also a boon. amazon's price for blue buffalo is comparable to the price I'd pay locally with my membership discounts at pet food stores. and though it's only been a week or so I've noticed some differences in the cats. one used to leave clumps of fur all over the house every summer, and that suddenly stopped. another cat used to get rashes on his belly. they were tempered by an organic diaper-rash cream I've been using (also from amazon), but the rashes have also gone away now.the price is killer, but wouldn't be that bad for someone who only had one or two cats. that day is coming for me, though I dread it (no more goodbyes after the last is gone. they're just too damn painful). unless there's a recall or this food "goes iams on me" and starts killing the cats, I'll be using blue buffalo foods 'til the bitter end...

Rotating through beef, chicken, and salmon pate seemed to help encourage her to eat, and she did quite well with this line of food. I cannot speak for myself, as I do not eat cat food, but my cat certainly loved this food.Value wise, this is one of the less expensive cat foods from a fancy brand. So if you want that, here it is - good bang for the buck.The scent...well, it's canned cat food. It's not horrible smelling like the cheaper brands, but I don't find it very appetizing. Good thing I don't eat cat food, I suppose.Regrettably, there are two reasons I don't buy this any longer. One is because Blue Buffalo doesn't make this anymore - having favored Tastefuls instead. So, not horrible, and that isn't a bad line of food if you had asked my cat. The other is because my kitty cat passed away last month after a very long life of over seventeen years. She was, indeed, a good kitty.Anyway, if you love your kitty cat and want a not too expensive brand of cat food...well, they changed the formula and it's now Tastefuls, so get that instead.

The Blue Buffalo canned cat foods that I have tried have solid ingredient panels with healthy ingredients I feel comfortable feeding to my cats...and I am very selective about what I feed. I mostly feed raw with canned for some meals in between thawing out the raw. My cats are not lovers of pate styled canned food, and this is definitely not a pate as another reviewer that compared it to pate tried to say. I would considered to be minced even though it is described as flaked chicken. I have fed the Minced Adult Chicken and Trout and this has the size of the chunks in that although it is not in as much gravy sadly. This does come out of the can in a chunk, and my suggestion would be to just add a little hot water to it to warm up the food and give it a more gravy like consistency. I took a star off the food because although my boys were initially excited about eating it, they didn't make it halfway through the first case before they started turning their noses up. They are still rapidly devouring the chicken and trout flavor, so I think I will try some of the other flavors next time and take a pass on the chicken.

I feed canned food and homemade raw due to two of my cats having health issues that require special feeding protocol. I'm always looking for a good canned food that won't cause my sensitive stomach kitty to puke, or my food allergy kitty to have her food induced coughing spells. I think I finally found the food that works perfectly for both of them (knock on wood)! They've both been perfectly healthy and normal since starting this food 3 weeks ago. Other canned foods can cause my one cat to vomit after eating up to several times a week, and my other cat to have a coughing spell after nearly every meal. But now my cats are happy and healthy! And they love this food! I'm so happy this food exists :)

Our older cat has no teeth and our new kitten is still growing her teeth so we wanted to find a mid-range food (in terms of price and quality) that both could eat. The older cat is a little sensitive so it took a few tries with different foods before we found the right one, but this ended up being a good fit for us. It is slightly expensive, but not the highest end. The cost is reasonable give that the ingredients are better. I believe that feeding cats good food with high quality ingredients all these years has contributed to our cats both living a long time. Annie died when she was 18 and Grace is currently almost 17.5. We'll continue to buy this for the foreseeable future.

My cat just loves this, woulld like to eat more than one can a day LOL He usually likes chicken only but this blend of turkey and chicken(no by-products) is a winner; I would also like to retract my earlier remarks about the BB urinary care purchased Sept.22, he really liked it too, I mistook the Flax seed in it for a environmetal parasite which we now have identified (not related to food at all. There is a nice jellied gravy with this one too, making it easier for his older teeth(he is 15) .I hope this will be in stock now that we have tried so long to find one that is good for him. Thanks.

Both my cats love the Blue flaked tuna. However, Amazon shipped chicken which they don't like. Very dissatified with Amazon not Blue
