It is genuine moss agate and although not "gem quality" I absolutely love the iron coloration along with the denderitric moss formation. It is fascinating when you look at it when it is backlit.

If you like it, get it. It's not going to break the bank and it seems quality.Note: The stone received had a very large grove running vertically that was kind of a disappointment, I know this will vary and suppose I should look at it as giving mine "character".
