Has killed a few insects
First of all, I made a mistake by not reading the posting carefully or I would have known that it was not powered by 120 electrical current, and is maybe is primarily meant to be used while camping in a tent. Actually though, I am not sure just how this is intended to be used.I wanted to test it so I could write a review, but found that the enclosed cord had to be plugged into a USB port. That means either my desktop computer or my laptop computer, both of which need to be plugged into a 120 plug (can't do that in a tent). Or it could go in the USB port in my car, but I would have to park it close to the tent.I ended up getting a cord that would plug into electricity on one end and the other end into the bug zapper's port (white cord shown in one of the pictures). I was then able to hang it near where I am working in the garage and it is zapping some insects. I can't hear it zap them because I am deaf, but I see that it is beginning to collect insects inside of it.My criticism of this product has to do with the lack of instruction about just how to hook this up - for example, when camping. Does a person need to have a laptop to take into their tent and then the laptop must have sufficient battery? That is the only way I can figure that a person can use the enclosed cord and use this in a tent. Or maybe you could use it in a room in the house. I don't know about your house but I don't have a USB port in most of my rooms.I have used it for several days now and it has killed a few insects (see picture). The light switch works fine and I have had the light on for several days. I can tell you that it is working fine on 120 v. electricity, but I haven't tried it using the enclosed USB cord.
