Stays hot as advertised
I decided to cut down on the number of thermoses to store my daily cups of coffee, I drink more than a pot a day.Reading some reviews about the coffee getting cold had me concerned, but soon learned it did a better job than all my thermoses combined. One has to be reasonable as heat transfer & loss is a science. One will always loose a certain amount of heat over time, as it is a process of conduction. Nothing will stay boiling hot. After 12 hours the coffee is still reasonable hot, and after 24 hours it's still warm enough to top off quickly in the Microwave for less than 8 seconds. I'll just be heating up the cup I'll be drinking out off.For the quality double layered food grade stainless, good looks, convenience, and easy clean, better heat retention than my 4 other Thermoses, and price, I gave this 5 Stars, as it deserves it. This is value for the money -- oh, & comes with a handy cleaning brush. To maintain the quality I recommend watching the video "how to clean the Spout". (If you don't clean the spout it will leak heat, look at it as being a weather seal on the front door and windows.)

Keeps coffee hot
I like my coffee HOT, do not like to have to microwave it, and this carafe works great. I have used it for two days now, and it keeps the brewed coffee at a nice hot temp for hours. I love it! I got it to replace a cheap carafe from a big-box store that I've had for years and it's never worked well.I fill the carafe with very hot water and put the lid on while I heat water to brew coffee. Then I empty the carafe, put the pour-over cone on the carafe, brew the coffee directly into the carafe, put the lid on, and it's so simple. Today I brewed coffee around 8am, had a cup or two which were fresh-brewed-hot. Came back around noon for another cup and it was still VERY hot, I could not tell the difference between that temp and what it had been 4 hours earlier. I do not drink coffee into the afternoon, so have not checked how hot it is after a longer time. If it can keep coffee THIS hot for 4-6 hrs, I'm happy. It is also very nice looking, easy to clean, and the lid fits snugly to hold in heat.

This carafe is an ideal addition to any kitchen or breakroom
This carafe allows me to have ice water at my desk all day. It stays cold and pours nicely. I like the push button to pour feature. I don't have to worry about condensation on the carafe as there is none. That keeps my desk clean and dry. The stainless steel carafe imparts no smell, no flavor, just clean ice cold water. It also works great holding a whole pot of hot coffee. Reduce the risk of fire and save energy by turning off the coffee pot and filling this carafe. It is also helpful to leave the pot of hot coffee on the table to top up your cup as you drink. Great styling too.

Coffee Carafe
This is one of the best coffee carafes I've ever used. I have looked all over for one that was a quality product. Many out there are very cheaply made and don't last long before the top is broken. Without a good seal the product no longer keeps coffee hot which is its intended use. This is the third one I have bought in 20 years and that means they are lasting about 6-7 years each. The price is well worth it seeing that it works out to about less than $5 a year. The only negative I have is that they don't sell replacement tops but then this carafe would last forever, lol. I guess then the company would not sell enough products to stay in business.

It isn’t the same pitcher as presented
I received a very cheap Chinese knock off. It doesn’t hold heat at all and the lid is made of cheap plastic. We can’t return it so we use it to water the plants.

Built Like a Model T
Like the Model T, simple, one moving part, easy to clean (big change from my last one), no fragile glass, no fancy internal lid parts to break or maintain. Works well with Melitta German made cone filter system (perfect fit), invented by Melitta Benz in 1908 (also a small family business and, of course, first year of the Model T). Our coffee is the old A&P brand Eight O'clock, ground on an 1880 Enterprise country store double wheel, drip grind. While this unit does exactly what it says: keeps coffee for 12 hours, the Fesch Design maker has a bonus: a video on how to dismantle and clean the top--critical to lighter, medium roast coffee aroma and taste--like we use.German drip system and German designed thermal carafe...all well done...but made in China. I wish that had been properly disclosed on Amazon because I always look for the source and attempt to buy American first. I only discovered China when I unpacked the unit...my only disappointment.

attractive looks - poor performance.
Fairly easy to clean, the brush they include helps. You can not let it sit in soapy water in sink. Doesn't keep the coffee as hot as I think it should for as long as I think it should. 3 coffee drinkers in this house. The early riser makes it at 7AM. By the time the 2nd shift person gets up? It's already starting to cool down. If you add sugar and cream to your coffee at this point you will need to hot it up in the microwave for 35 seconds. Black coffee drinkers says it's ok..warm enough to drink. Sort of defeats the purpose of using the carafe. I have been using it for a month now. Tried all the different methods : heating with hot water for 10 minutes before adding the fresh brewed coffee, pouring boiling water in for 15-20 minutes before adding....experimented and found that if you put coffee in there hot and DID NOT USE IT? It DID stay hot all day and even warm through the night. The trick is? Get it to stay that hot when it's actually being used!!! I feel it was a waste of my money. Also, it is NOT German made. It's made in China. Read descriptions carefully to avoid confusion.
