This machine has a design defect on the end of the ram which causes the punches to shatter when used on steel of 6mm thickness.There is a notch in the end of the ram 1.5 mm deep and when the ram is activated the pressure is not applied evenly to the punch and shatters the punch along the sides, this can be overcome by making an adapter to fit the notch therefor spreading the pressure evenly.
