Perfect for me
I have used this glue gun for a few days now on a cardboard project. I follow the directions for a five minute preheat, and the glue flows easily and sets up quickly, but not too quick. You still have plenty of time for proper positioning. There is no dripping of glue; it only flows when the trigger is pulled. The base of the gun is also a stand and works perfectly without tipping over. This gun is ideal for my needs with cardboard. If I were going to do serious woodworking, I would probably opt for the full size model. With that said, this gun works as advertised, and I strongly recommend it as a mini glue gun.

Love the stand. Why didn't I get this sooner?!
Having the stand at the bottom is so nice and such an improvement over the flimsy wire thing my last glue gun had. I think the glue that came with it is a little runnier/stringier than what I had (or maybe the gun runs hotter?) but it's kind of par for the course to deal with strings when using a glue gun anyway. And I didn't buy this for the glue, I bought it for the stand part, which is great. I don't have the gun constantly tipping over on the table anymore! It's not as hot to the touch as my old one either so I'm not scared I'm gonna burn myself. The trigger is a bit longer and nicer as well, though I don't have to push nearly as much to get the same amount of glue.

Excellent product
My teenaged daughter has burned through two cheap glue guns in the past year due to constant use. She had nothing but trouble with them: the trigger wouldn’t work so she would have to push the glue sticks through with her hand; glue would clog the gun and make it difficult to use; one even started smoking! Decided to get her a higher quality glue gun and this one has been awesome! The glue comes out smoothly and evenly, and it definitely doesn’t spurt out or clog the nozzle. The glue goes exactly where she wants it to, which is a most welcome change from previous glue guns. We both absolutely love the stand! Honestly could not be happier with this glue gun! Don’t be leery about it due to so few reviews- I read the reviews for the larger model and was so impressed that I ordered this mini glue gun and have been 100% happy with it. Excellent customer service and good packaging, too! Love this Chandler glue gun!

Maybe too light, but fixable
This is a great little glue gun. It warms well and you can control the glue pretty well. The silicon tip helps keep fingers or arms from being burned, and also helps cut the glue after you Lay down a bead.I had a cheaper glue gun before I bought this one, and the glue was always pouring out if it. Not this one! It controls the temperature very well.My only complaint is that the base doesn’t really work well because the cord’s movement and/or angle makes the gun very unstable. It can fall over very easily, even from just slight cord movement. The base can also detach from the gun if you’re not persistent to check it. The slide lock is small and easily slips out of the shallow holes on the gun. A touch of super glue holds it nicely. To fix the weight and sturdiness issue, I saw where someone glued the gun to a block of wood. I tried the same thing, and it worked! My gun now has plenty of weight, isn’t manipulated by the cord, and is still just as useful as before. I don’t worry one bit about it any more. One tip - the base isn’t solid on the bottom. It’s honeycomb, so put down plenty of glue before you attach the gun to the wood. I didn’t use enough the first time and it detached after a few days.It would be nice if this gun had a power switch on it, but I know most at this price range don’t. Other than the (fixable) issues listed above, I like the gun and use it often.

It is wonderful, no more drips! Enough said.

Faulty trigger, but perfect heating, light, and easy to use.
I needed a glue gun for a single task - gluing ornament hooks to the tops of pine cones. I don't do craft projects regularly (ok, never) so I didn't want to pay a lot and I didn't need a high-volume capacity. My issue: the ring that is supposed to grip the glue stick and advance it through the barrel simply wouldn't move it more than 1/10 times I clicked the trigger. I.e., the trigger was useless on the one I got.Thankfully, due to the simplistic design and small size, it was possible to awkwardly change the way I held the gun, where I'd ignore the trigger completely, and grip the gun so I could use my thumb to manually push the glue stick forward, through the heating element. Viola - the glue came out hot and consistently smooth.I processed approximately 6 dozen cones this way, and the heating element worked pefectly every time. I used all but 4 of the provided glue sticks, so it definitely took more glue than expected, but I may have been a little generous, too ;)Bottom line, if you have any sort of dexterity issue this workaround wouldn't be feasible, but for my purposes, and considering how little I paid, it was worth the inconvenience.
