Chock full of detailed backstage information on the game show business, using Concentration as an example.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Any time someone gives backstage stories about game shows and the business behind it is a good time to me.

A great memoir for fans of the genre
Norm Blumenthal is a legend of the classic Concentration and of early television. I had his book The TV Game Shows as a child, and this book is not a retool at all. Though a few classic anecdotes are included from his prior work (long out of print) the book is well-organized and gives a contemporary perspective on past and present. He clearly is not a fan of "reality" TV but he makes a connection to the old days before videotape where everything the viewer saw was "real" -- excepting the quiz show scandals. Worth every page.

Christmas Present
I purchased this for my husband for Christmas. He loves all the old game shows and he can't wait to read it.

not what i expected
The title leads one to think it is about all game shows or how the different hows affected early tv. it was nothing but this author's opinions and a long account about "Concentration". It should have been titled "the "Concentration" story.

I enjoyed watching CONCENTRATION in the 1960's and 1970's
I enjoyed watching CONCENTRATION in the 1960's and 1970's. It's time to bring it back instead of trashy talk shows!
