My kids have been in piano lessons for a collective 8 years and all used Alfred lesson books and notespeller books. Match them together for a complete learning experience. Great book for teaching kids yourself, without the cost of a pricey piano teacher, as long as you know at least something about the piano. If you are trying to produce the next Mozart, this might not be the best book. Or you might need to supplement it with other books that stress the fundamentals of technique. But if you want your child to really enjoy learning piano, it's an excellent choice.
