Caveat emptor, customer service is terrible.
I purchased the Duovac Distinction thinking it was a top of the line unit. It worked well for about 5 years when one of the motors failed. Duovac customer service referred me to a local authorized service provider who disassembled the unit and confirmed the motors had failed. Multiple calls to Nuera requesting replacement motors were completely ignored. The technical support team at Thinkvacuums.com finally applied enough pressure to Nuera to supply new motors directly to me. The local service provider returned to install the new motors. Many parts removed during the disassembly were missing during reassembly. They finally reassembled the unit with various parts found in their truck. After reassembly the vacuum worked, but the noise level had increased from 65 decibels to 80 decibels. Again,calls to Nuera were completely ignored. Customer service at Thinkvacuums.com were able to contact Nuera who said they had done all that they were going to do.Requests to return the unit to Nuera to evaluate it were denied.
