Floating on a cloud of softness, warmth and comfort. Never wanting to leave the heavy plush confines of my king-size bed. A blanket like no other that I have experienced in my 68 years of living. Almost indescribably wonderful! Okay, so do I really like it, you ask? A great big resounding YES!!!Pro's --------1) Extremely warm, but doesn't make me sweaty.2) Feels light, even though it is 9 lbs.3) Extremely soft and plush, with almost a spongy feel.4) Beautiful color, not beige, not ivory, sort of a rich cream. It's not pinkish like the Amazon photo.5) Very well made, with perfect stitching and corners rounded instead of squared off.6) Reversible, with one side having a smooth slight "sheen" and the other side having a "furry" look and feel. It is one blanket, not 2 blankets sewn together.Con's --------1) Too short on sides. It hangs no more than one foot over each side. It hasn't been a problem for us though, probably because we sleep so soundly that there's no tossing and turning.2) The brand name VIVALON in LARGE letters is stamped in ORANGE on one the corner of the blanket!! Was this REALLY necessary??I've only had this blanket for 4 days I and am so excited about it that I just had to rush to my computer to tell everyone about it. It's amazing to be able to sleep in a cotton sleep shirt with lightweight socks and still feel toasty under just a top sheet and this blanket on a cold night. (Cold by Houston, Texas standards!). This afternoon, my husband said, "Aren't you going to get out of bed today?" I replied, "I want to but this blanket won't let me!"At least one reviewer said they had trouble with the blanket sliding off the bed during the night. I believe someone has already addressed this problem in a comment. The person who commented stated that if the blanket was put on the bed with the "sheen" side up and the "furry" side down, that would solve the problem. We like the "sheen" side best as far as looks so we didn't test it out to see if we experienced the same problem.I could have knocked off one star for the 2 con's but I just could not bring myself to do it. Too many pro's about this wonderful blanket. I guess I've never been spoiled with something like this before (cries), but this is the most beautiful and luxurious blanket I've ever seen or used in my life. Sleeping with it almost makes up for sleeping alone for the entirety of my life (lmao). My whole family is now ordering one for themselves after they've seen it. It is a bit pricey at $60+, but it is worth every penny for its quality and comfort. It is incredibly soft and more than heavy and warm, although not as thick as imagined (yet not an issue).However just an important FYI, the color I ordered was hunter green, and instead I received a dark teal type of color between blue and green (as shown in the picture uploaded). It is equally soft on both sides. One layer, not two fused together. Softer than any blanket I've felt before. It's very hard to put into words. Velvety but silky. Yes, like petting a mink. Though who of us really knows what a mink feels like to pet? Not me. If I had to guess I'd say it's like petting a mink with a short haircut. The color is rich and satisfying. Mine is deep black, with an almost iridescent quality that reflects dark blue or purple or brown in the light. It came in sturdy zippered plastic and had a slight machine or dye smell which faded after an hour. My severe allergies were not affected at all, which was a surprise. A tiny bit of shedding; not near as much as the vellux. No transfer of dye to my white sheets.
