Released in 1976 on Vinyl, cassette & 8 track cartridge it is THE definitive hits album of only A sided singles taken from 1960-67 containing only instrus ie no vocals. Reissued in 1987 on CD and then ADD-type remastered sometime during the 1990's. Also, reissued in 2013 as a SHM-CD from Japan.If you only want "Apache" on a CD format and are not fussed about the other 19 tracks then no problem as this is the best single CD album for you if you are just a casual fan. Sound quality on any CD is extremely high.NB: only one track is in Mono as EMI lost the stereo master tape of the Warlord.FBI is in mock stereo as the stereo master got shipped to the USA back in 1961/2 but got recovered back to London very recently this year(2013) in fact.

I heard fbi on the radio / and it took me back to my childhood 60s so i went to amazon looked up the shadows and got the cd i remember almost all the songs on the cd a couple of them i couldnt remember lol / but its a great album if you were around in the 60s

This album was a trip back in time for me. Real foot tapping tunes from Hank & the boys.A bit repetitious admittedly , but still very enjoyable.

I played around with the idea of buying the version with 50 tunes on but some of them were a little obscure so I settled for the version with 20 tunes which contains all of their great hits. Suits me.

Took me back to my youthGreat music and a fab advert to promote the album when it first came out. I have not stoped playing it

Had this on vinyl many years ago. After hearing odd track played on radio just had to up-date! Surely a 'must have' for guitar enthusiasts - although simple riff melodies still sounds great. As George Harrison once said: "no Shadows, no Beatles"
