Battery life of 60hrs????
This isn't the cheapest of cheap music players and buying from companies like Bluedio, I have been very impressed with the quality of their products and customer service.Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Bassplay.Out of the box (presentation is pretty poor - basic cardboard box which looked like it had already been opened), cheap USB lead and instructions so small, you need a magnifying glass to read them, and when you do, they are pretty poor), but the player looks good.I plugged it in to charge, and, as promised, it was fully charged in just over 2 hours. I then played with the OS for a while to get used to it, and whilst not intuitive, is OK when you get used to it.After pairing it with my Sony 1000MX3 headphones (and after inserting my pre prepared micro SD card) I began to listen to Buddy Rich The Man From Planet Jazz (which is my reference point for all music players). To be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but the sound for a player at this point was superb! Wide dynamics, great detail and good bass. This is where the "good" stopped. After about 30 mins the player turned itself off. I thought it's maybe a little glitchy, but no, the battery was dead. I then recharged it again for a couple of hours, started listening and the same thing happened.Having really good experiences with most Chinese companies customer service, I emailed Bassplay. The reply I received was to ask me to turn the timer off (really - as an experienced tech head I found this pretty insulting). I was also asked how many bars were showing on the battery, after me explaining the battery was dead, therefore there were zero bars.!!I replied answering their questions and haven't received a reply.I obviously received a faulty item, which is a shame as previously stated, the player is very good. But the standard of the customer services is appalling. All in all, disappointed with the presentation of the unit, the quality of the instructions and the inferior usb lead, the player is defective and the customer services are very poor. As said previously, it's not the cheapest player.Items can be faulty, but for me, the measure of a good company is the standard of its customer services and Bassplay fall way below the level set by most other companies.I will return for a full refund and advise everyone to stay well clear.

Basic for the price & does not play mp4s
Totally rubbish for the price £38.99. This does NOT play mp4s like it says in the title. I asked before buying and was told yes but my folders with mp4s in say no files found plays mp3s no problem. It took me ages to get the sd card to stay in I needed to push it right in with my nail to get it to hold. The menu is very basic no up down keys like on others you need to use the << & >> keys to move from one icon to another & then the same for up & down then press ok. The volume is the - & + keys. The bent arrow key is the back key. Long press on power to turn it on & the same to turn it off. I got more with my last mp3 at only £27.99 like a case & earphones & arm band for running but still did not play mp4s like it said it did so it was returned.

So far so good.
Seems really good once you find your way around it. Can't comment on durability as it's someone's Christmas present. Only negative so far, usb lead provided was faulty and I spent an age trying to transfer music to it before being advised by seller to try a different lead.

Manual and usage.
Manual - shows the buttons etc but not how to do anything, like amend time and date, Main page shows 4 icons but they don't do anything. How to access the memory card, connected to PC but no data showing apart from a few songs a video and a text file but in a foreign language.? No sign of the memory card. Menu keys don't work. How do you access FM operation? First impressions not good.

Not User Friendly Player
MP4 videos ( even when converted to AVI format)cannot be downloded to the player. The speaker volume is too low at its highest level.Music files are not downloaded in Music Folder. Not entirely happy with the player.

Good solid MP3 player
I was after a simple MP3 player that was metal instead of the usual plastic and could play Flac files. I have been using this solid for a week whilst connected to a Bluetooth speaker and it has worked flawlessly. Great sound and the battery lasts a long time.
