Great engagement, but not for chewing. Must be supervised.
After reading reviews and seeing some of them really chewed up I was concerned based on the price. HOWEVER, this is basically a remote control dog bone. It’s not meant to be a chew toy in the slightest. I do LOVE it regardless. It is awesome for my super smart, puzzle beating, needs a challenge dog. For a solid 40 minutes she was engaged by it! I drove it around my house using the app and she followed close behind it. Any time she picked it up and brought it to her bed I would hit the jump or spin mode to free myself and I was off again driving it into another room with her hot on my tail! It banged against walls, under tables, and across lighter runner carpets with ease. The interactive mode responded to her pawing at it and was fun to watch, but again it’s a remote controlled toy. No different if you were driving an actual RC Car around your pets. It’s not designed to be pinned between paws and chewed or left unsupervised. It’s meant to offer stimulation and something different other than fetch. We bought the battery operated ball with a weasel on it and although that is also a big hit, she catches it and within 10 minutes before accepting that it just rolls around. This WickedBone allows us to chase her, be hunted by her, and move in unpredictable ways. Highly recommend, but definitely not a toy you just leave out when you’re not in the room.

Weak Functions and Failing Battery - Not Worth It – Poor Performance
Disappointing product. The battery constantly fails, and the play functions are too weak and slow to keep my dog engaged. Definitely not worth the money.

Awesome concept, poor execution
I really love this thing, and I REALLY wanted it to work for us. We bought it for our 50lb lab mix for his adoption anniversary. He “plays with” (barks at and tries to chomp, playfully) the Roomba vacuum, and loved chasing around a little RC car that my brother got for Christmas. So I KNEW he’d love this toy. And he did! But, it’s too small for our medium dog, and definitely not durable for a heavy chewer like him. I love the idea that the toy can “run away” from him. But, it moves pretty slow and our dog can take one step and pick it up. I thought it would be okay if he does pick it up, because then it would spin and fall out of his mouth, and the game continues. No. If he has one half in his mouth, it stops spinning, and the other half continues. It’s definitely not a toy for dogs that are bigger than 25 pounds. If your dog likes to chase things and not grab them with his mouth, then this toy might be good for you. For us, it was a really awesome concept that, unfortunately, failed in execution. So we did return the toy. If it were bigger - like, big enough that the dog couldn’t pick it up (or at least not easily) - or much faster and stronger, where it would still spin in his mouth so he would spit it out, and he’d actually find challenge in chasing it, I would definitely try this product again.I would be really excited if the company read this review and started working on a larger size / a version more equipped for big dogs & heavy chewers!!!!

Nice, but depends on the dog
The bone seems to be nice and hefty. I would probably recommend this for more medium size dogs though. I have a smaller dog who loves to play and is usually on the rougher side of playing however she won't go near this thing. I am unsure of if its the mechanical noise when it moves, or the fact that it moves on its own that freaks her out, she isn't "gun shy", so im not sure what is going on. So unfortunately this was a waste of money for me.

Best techie toy I’ve seen
This is a great gift for a tech-friendly person. Father’s Day, I’m looking at you. Or you can splurge for yourself.I’ve had it for a couple days and it’s fun! It will be the type of toy that I show off to my friends.I rated it 5 stars because it’s technologically advanced and good enough to be good. But it reminds me of first generation robot vacuums - works as advertised but still needs work.1. The ball is attractively designed and my puppy hasn’t destroyed it (yet). But I shudder every time he sinks his teeth into it. It’s expensive enough that I will be annoyed if it doesn’t last. Time will tell. It needs to have a replaceable exterior.2. The auto-play function is cleverly designed. The bone taunts mercilessly and hilariously. But there are 10-15 second gaps in between movements which caused my border collie to lose interest. It needs multiple auto-play scenarios, like workout machines, so that you can play the one that your dog likes. You can adjust the activity-level settings, but that doesn’t do enough.3. It’s best in manual play, what a blast! The preset command buttons, such as spin, are easy to use and effective. But the joystick was unintuitive and a bit frustrating to me - perhaps a joystick gamer would be better at it. And how the heck am I supposed to know which way the bone considers “forward” vs “backward”?!?4. It’s much better on hard surfaces. It kinda works on my low-pile rugs, but not as well and struggles to transition between surface types.5. The battery isn’t very good. You need to recharge it after every play session. Yes, you will forget and it will be dead when you want to use it. Of course, battery life is a problem for everything with batteries, so welcome to the club, wickedbone.

Great toy, lousy battery life
I would love to give this a higher rating because my dog absolutely loves this toy and it is proving to be fairly durable for my super chewer. However, we only get about five minutes of use from it before the battery dies and it needs to recharge.
