BIG, solid, great for Fuel bottles, not air tight. Mounted to my motorcycle.
I bought two of these to mount to my motorcycle and was really struck by the size of these things and had to change my idea for mounting. They appear very sturdy, however, I did notice that these canisters are not airtight/waterproof as a whole appears to exist from the manufacturing process at the upper (if held vertically) mounting tabs.Fits a 30oz fuel bottle good, but as I mounted the canister horizontally I wanted to eliminate the back/forth movement of the fuel bottle from accelerating/decelerating as there is about an inch and a half of this horizontal movement - I stuffed some rags in the bottom for now and plan to switch to Velcro attached to the bottom of the canister and then the bottle to secure it from movement.Lastly, the yellow paint... I used nail polish remover to begin removing the yellow painted instructions and one brand worked, I ran out , bought some cheap stuff to use more liberally and it didn't even phase the paint... frustrated, I resorted to using GASOLINE since I had nothing else around and it removed the yellow paint easily and quickly, though everything smelled like gas but aired out.So far I'm happy, but 10.5" between mounting holes, and the sheer size of this thing makes it hard to find real estate for on a motorcycle, plan ahead.

So many applications, great price!
Plan to use as a "tool tube" on my KLR. I was going to make one out of PVC but couldn't resist once I saw these, and its about the same price as making a home made version.A bit lighter than I would like but seems plenty strong.

Nice, economical motorcycle tool tube!
I bought this to mount behind the left side of the Givi PLR3101 side case racks on my 2012 Suzuki DL650 V-Strom. Container is pretty sturdy (mounting tabs do flex some while screwing/unscrewing cap), well-sealed, and fits perfectly in the space. Enough capacity to hold a full-sized can of chain lube and some rags, or a bunch of tools (though nothing too heavy).

Cram your junk in this tube. **just make sure you tighten it up all the way**
Update 2-1-16I went out to the bike this morning and lost a cap on the canister somewhere along the way. So my MSR bottle is probably somewhere on the side of the road :(* one trip from San Diego to Saint Louis and back (with many detours)* one trip to Mexico* two trips to big sur* one trip to SF* at least 20 long day trips* every day commuting* on road and off roadAbout 20k miles on the canister with my MSR bottles inside. I am sure it is my fault as the other one still had the cap and bottle (so probably not stolen just vibrated off - not tightened enough). Looking at repurchasing canister and MSR bottle come payday (cannot buy just the cap). The extra gas has saved me 2 or 3 times. Helped me not stress out quite a few more than that....-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Acetone (100% acetone nail polish remover available at drug store for $3) took off the yellow paint really easily. Just dab it on with a paper towel, hold the towel on it for about 5 seconds, then rub a little (very little). Gone...like it was never there. The tube itself is great. I'm headed to the hardware store today to get bolts for mounting to the motorcycle. I plan on putting a water bottle in the bigger one and a MSR gas bottle in the smaller one.

It fits and will do the job.
Perfect fit for my county line auger boom as the old one had broken. I think that the unit should have been made out of heavy duty plastic like the old one was, so it would be stronger. Bottom line, it will do the job.
