A Sturdy Tool
This is a sturdy, good tool. The only issue is, it comes with only one foot pad so it's not changable when using from one side to the other. Too bad they skimped on an inexpensive thing like a rubber foot pad. Makes the tool less useful. Otherwise much better than other cultivating forks I've gotten when tend to have one tine bend. As I said, this is a sturdy tool.

Ergonomic, tough and made in USA, kinda nice looking tool too.
Man, this is the “Sherman Tank” of digging fork. Reminds me of the old American way of building things. I am very happy I bought this. I have their “King of Spade” shovel and it’s another quality tool! This company is legit you can call their customer service for any questions and they will answer the phone, Just ask for Ingrid the nicest customer service person you can meet. You don’t need to buy this fancy “root slayer” shovel cause once you have the king of spade shovel and their digging fork, you are good to go, seriously!

This is the BEST GARDENING TOOL that I have ever picked up for my garden.!!!
I usually let my garden to “let it be” during the wintertime (when I plant fava beans and other plants to increase their nitrogen into my soil for preparation of the upcoming tomato season. This means my beds are completely covered in various types of these vegetation/weeds that needs to be either removed or turned back the soil to their original condition to grow excellent vegetable crops. The extremely sharp tangs allow you to drop into the soil and push down on the handles and you will have over 12-15” down and 14” wide of my good soil being turned over. I would go break the “Big Box” gardening tangs to within in a year or so. Most of the cheaply made and “designed” gardening forks have a relatively straight forks where I needed to place a 4”x4” block of wood as a fulcrum when depressing on the handle. And guess what??? That is usually where the cheaper “big box forks” would break at that spot but this perfectly designed Hoss tool has the proper bend in their four forks where a “pivot lever” is not needed.I may be tough on my tools but knowing that i paid a bit more money will provide a quality product will last may seasons.BTW, this tool has a “kick pad” (removable for either side) and i WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GET ANOTHER PAD ON BOTH SIDES TO BE A “Major League” foot stomper to turn the fork on both sides into the soil. I contacted this company to order an additional “kick pad” (along with one spare for storage) when I want to use either leg for cleaning out my soil. A little BST (Blood, Sweat & Tears) will have the properly prepared garden for your upcoming growing season.,As you can tell, I’m one of those “Oh You Boomer” generation......I noticed that Amazon does not currently carry this product but if you go to the Hoss website, you can order your own GREAT GARDENING FORK online!!!

TOUGH AS NAILS
Pushes through clay soil with ease. Makes shoveling a hole much easier. Comfortable to use even with normal footwear. Excellent for aerating soils. Virtually indestructible. Will last a lifetime as long as you don't leave it out in the bad weather. Makes me want to investigate their shovels. It's nice to see that quality garden tools don't have to cost a fortune. Plus, no splinters in your mitts.

Don't know how to contact customer service about a defect in the product
When it arrived it was missing a piece. There are supposed to be two step platforms for pressing your foot (one on either side of the pole (above the tines). Mine only had one. Not sure how to contact company for this problem, but I hope through this venue.

Tine bent quicker and easier than the cheap one that I had.
Third time that i used it, one of the tines bent when it hit a root. I am a fairly frail 74 year old woman and was not putting a lot of pressure on it or using it to pry with. A neighbor straightened the tine out for me and after a few digs it had bent out of shape again. For this price, I expected a much sturdier product. I am not pleased with it.UPDATE - the company is sending me a replacement . Their attention to this issue was prompt and satisfactory to me. Very nice customer service.

Probably too expensive
After I ordered this I found a fork with a fiberglass handle for $30 less, which would probably have been good enough; but this one certainly seems tough, so I'm not complaining. The fork appears to be made in Austria, not the USA, if that matters to you. The rubber step attaches with bolts, so you need a wrench to change it from one side to the other.

Tough fork
Heavy duty, would’ve been great to include foot rest on both sides as it’s a pain to be using tools when you just want to switch out your feet. Nice product. Well made. I’ll update if my husband destroys this one like the last one from a different manufacturer.
