Rick Joyner looks beyond the mere mechanisms of the gift of prophecy and the prophetic office to the heart of the prophet. By their fruits you will know them our Lord tells us in the New Testament. There is no real prophetic ministry that is not coloured by the inspired speakers background, prejudices and sub conscious beliefs and opinions which is why we all need to humbly evaluate the way we see, hear, interpret and apply what we are shown. Any soul hungry for genuine prophetic ministry and a pure stream will love this book. I read it 5 years ago and again recently and the truths within are as applicable today as they were when first published.

I wish that I had read this book before the ten or so others I've bought that had the hype but not the substance. After reading this book I feel that I have learned more in a few days than the last twenty years. Rick Joyner is a real person. He is very open and honest. He shares in such a way that you know he is not just trying to sell a book. He actually cares and openly shares his own mistakes and failures. I recommend this book very highly if your are a prophetic person and struggling to get direction and clarity about your calling. This book will help you to grow by providing valuable knowledge gained by real life experience.

I was asked to teach a class on prophecy, so I bought several books to help with my studies. This was a well written book that provided other perspectives to assist me with teaching. The author knows the subject and did a fine job of imparting the knowledge and experiences of his life path.

It was a excellent book to read. He was transparent when He needed to be. I learned alot. I would recommend this to others to so they can learn about about how this ministry functions. You will be surprised on what you thought you knew.

I was really expecting this book to only be a basic overview of prophecy, but I was pleasantly surprised. This book goes much deeper than the questions in the summary. It also addresses issues like rejection, which any prophet can tell you they have struggled with. It addresses how to deal with tares in your field. It also covers a little bit of biblical prophecy and dreams and visions. It really mostly points people towards maintaining a friendship with God and a love for people. It's a great book.

Provides a foundation of understanding to the church so that we invite and value this ministry as God prepares His saints for the approaching events of the last days. A good read for pastors, teachers, helpers, ministers of mercy, and every individual who desires to understand the role and task of a needed ministry in the body of Christ. Without the Lord's vision, the people perish, flounder, and faint.

What can you not say about the auther's wisdom/knowledge in this book!! I personally learned and enjoyed it! Read it! you'll find it spiritually educational!

Great little book that teaches and inspires how the prophetic ministry should operate. Felt the tone was a little too critical in places.

Though small in size, life-changing in context. I believe strongly in the saying: for a generation to see further, it must stand on the shoulders of those before. Rick Joyner lays some important foundations to the Prophetic Ministry in this book. I recommend to every believer.. God desires all men should prophesy

Excellent, straightforward read on the prophetic ministry. Warrants a second, more studious read.Very helpful for a 'prophet' that has his or her 'L' plates on !!

Excellent kept simple and got the desired message across to instruct and give understanding. Could have done with a little more volume of subject.
