CIFBDR Deer Cast Iron Fireback Plates

I bought this to help extend the life of my fireplace bricks and to emit more heat into the room. Seems to be working well and is holding up well after multiple fires. Bought the HomComfort Fireback Plates with Support Legs to go with it. Also purchased a Grate Wall of Fire fireplace grate which is worth checking out, too.

Lovely addition to our fireplace. I don't notice much heat radiating out into our living room, but we have vaulted ceilings so that may be part of the problem. Overall, we love the added decor.

Cracked after not even 1 month of use. The seller if horrible to get matter fix.

Although well made ,I really do not see where this made any kind of difference in the amount of heat coming from the fire place, plus even with draft open, a lot of smoke blew back in the room.

It's smaller than listed on Amazon, by about 4 inches. Otherwise it's a good product.

We purchased this to cover/protect a crack in the firebox liner for our pre-fabricated fireplace insert (installed about 25 years ago, when our home was originally constructed). This fireback is VERY heavy (~40 lbs.), but does the job well -- protecting the back of the fireplace from heat/log damage, and reflecting a bit more heat into the room. The stamped deer design is nice, though not easily seen once soot accumulates as you burn fires. All-in-all, a good purchase.

Love it. Looks great and helps radiate heat. This thing is thick and heavy.
