So I bought this to replace my old, similar, wire-style retainer. I'd like to tell you in detail why, and why I love this product.I like a wire style retainer because: with the rope-style ones I have to lift my sunglasses far off my head because the rope just hangs down with gravity. I need to lift them way up so the rope clears the top of my head. Same thing putting them on, I need to first clear my head with the rope by putting my hands far behind my head, then putting on my sunglasses. With the wire ones...it stays horizontal with your glasses so it pops right on and right off. You might think thats crazy, but I'll NEVER go back to a string or rope retainer for that reason.Now, why THIS one? Easy...as I mentioned before, the wire retainers stay pretty much sticking straight out behind your head when you're wearing you sunglasses. Which I cant STAND while driving. They will hit my headrest and just continue to push my sunglasses forward, off my face. SUPER annoying. I had the Costa wire retainer before this. I had to always tuck it down into my shirt and even then it came out, and pushed off my seat, dislodging my sunglasses. Anyone who has had this happen knows how annoying it is.I LOVE the fact that I can cinch this one. Ah thats my favorite part. Such a GENIUS design feature. I don't worry about wind, or more importantly my glasses falling forward off my face during high activity or when I'm very sweaty my glasses would always shimmy down my nose. NO MORE!! Its a simple tug on the rubber ends and it cinches right down on my big melon head. It's a perfect, snug fit. I cant even get a finger in there. I have a large head, I imagine people with smaller heads would have more wiggle room. But again, this retainer is PERFECT for me.I wear Maui Jim Ho'Okipas and I had to wrap a little electric tape around the end of the ear piece so this wouldn't slip off. It was on there well, but not confidence-inducing well. I probably didn't NEED to...but those glasses were $240 when I bought them and I've owned them for 12 years so whatever it takes to keep them safe. I bet if the end of your glasses' temple was larger like maybe a Ray-Ban style pair, these would fit more snugly.In conclusion, these are easily the best retainers I've ever owned. And I've owned a LOT of them. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because in order to loosen them I am forced to literally PULL my glasses away from my face, and off my head. I find it odd I am also complaining about the same thing I love so much (the snugness...) but as a customer I have earned the right to be displeased with anything at all (pretty much though right..). Have some engineer figure out a way these can have the same, snug, cinched feeling, and also pull right off of my head with no resistance at all when I WANT them to! THEN 5/5 hands down.

I would change one thing about this if I could: I would make a 12" size for people with average size heads as the smallest size available now is 14" and this only tightens to 7" and on my head that leaves about an inch of slack, just enough to cause my glasses to slip down slightly and cause me to have to keep pushing them up. I like the way the y open and close, but can you please make a smaller size?

Holds glasses on securely and looks good doing it. I bought these for daily use prescription eyewear and they hold glasses on your face securely.

Very comfortable, can't even tell they're there. I don't extend them much - I got them because my new glasses are just a few millimeters too long on the arms. Keeps my glasses snug to my face without any adjusting throughout the day.

A must have for anybody that uses glasses or sun glasses... you will not be Disappointed...

There's not much to say really, it's easy to attach, easy to adjust, and seems to work fairly well. It's not an overly complicated product so I don't see it having many issues.I specifically bought this to hold my glasses in place while I play volleyball and it holds up to some diving and rolls.
