70s Groove: Funk & Soul Music - Pink version - Lamont Dozier, Ike Turner, Bill Cosby, 70s Hits

Seek this out. It will be worth the effort. Released on the Italian label Halidon out of Milan, this really doesn't get any better, touching all bases, Afro, Disco, jazz funk, psychedelic, a really european vibe, and soundtrack, over 5 Discs, 100 songs of wonderfulness, whether it's for chillin or dancin. I purchased this in December, shortly before Amazon uk ran out it looks. My review is based on disc 1 alone and I'm aware of Mood Mosaic, another Italian comp some of these beauties come from. So I was familiar with some of the other stuff. I stumbled on this with William Goldstein's Midnight Rhapsody, very much MFSB meets Love Unlimited Orchestra which is on Mood Mosaic 5 and I think both have been ripped directly from vinyl, no matter, it might not be digitally remastered but heck it's good!! It's a great listen throughout disc 1 but if I had to single out more, it would be Jackson Sisters, John Tropea and a fine 7 minute mix not heard before ( and it's not Tom Moulton) of Harold Melvin's Don't Leave Me This Way. The other reason for diving in was my love of soundtracks and there's some killers, with Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones and John Schroeder for starters. Listen, it's a no brainer. This is insane, 100 fantastic songs covering many genres and I've only touched on 16 ! All for 13 quid. Think I'll skip to the soundtrack disc next. Hope you find your own double quick. You need this !! Follow up next time

Very bad quality even my 16 year old daughter complained.

Like many 5 cd compilations this is bound to be very hit and miss. You will find that you will search out the tracks you know, because the the tracks you don’t know are second rate. So what’s the point? There are no real great discoveries here. There are a few tracks you may not have heard before…..but who cares.Overall a decent mix of old favourites and less well known tracks but don’t expect a game changer

Retour dans le passé avec ce vinyle qui reprend la musique 70s groove, funk.On s'imagine être aux USA, ça donne envie de bouger.Avant, j'avais acheté le vinyle vert qui reprend la musique de certaines séries de l'époque ( Strasky et Hutchison...pure bonheur. Couleurs des disques vitaminées en plus et pochettes psychédéliques.Pure plaisir.Par contre, il vaut mieux acheter les 2 vinyles en même temps car vous gagnez 5 euros ( le lot de 2 est proposé à 35 euros mais il faut naviguer en bas de page vous ne le voyez pas)
