Christmas Offerings

I have a big stack of Christmas CDs and this is one of my favorites, keeping in mind that what I like in a Christmas album is rock versions of traditional favorites. That's mostly what you'll find here. All the traditional carols are very solid on this disc, and very upbeat.As is usually my opinion, the original songs are the weaker ones on the album. Christmas Like a Child is completely forgettable, but not to the point that you want to skip it and Merry Christmas goes for the sappiness jugular. It will likely either bring tears to your eyes or cause them to roll so far back in your head it hurts.The old favorites more than make up for the new tracks and I will be listening to this one all season, and for many more to come. I have to say this is one of my new favorite CDs. I love every song on this CD. Third Day has taken classic Christmas tunes and put their own originality to them and it's like hearing them for the first time. I love Mac Powell's voice. The classic songs are amazing and the original songs are amazing too. "Born in Bethlehem" is a personal favorite. I love the music and lyrics in this song, "Don't be afraid for in three days, You will rise again". Amazing. I would recommend this CD to everyone. This doesn't even have to be classified as a "Christmas" CD, I will listen to this all year long. Thanks Third Day for sharing your talents and gifts. To God be the Glory.

this is the best Christmas album i've ever heard... and it's my favorite Third Day album now too. i haven't even taken it out of my cd player yet! :) i typically do not like the song O Holy Night (i know, i'm crazy) but this version is so beautiful and quickly became my favorite Christmas song ever. there isn't a song that i don't like on this cd! several of the songs are done live, and the audience participates in them some. some of the songs are sung in a traditional way, but still with the 'Third Day' signature sound. a few are changed up just a bit, but never so much that it takes away from the beauty of the song. it makes them even better! i highly recommend this cd!!!

This is one of the best Christmas albums I have ever owned. I'm a contemporary worship leader for my church, and it can be very difficult to arrange Christmas songs with a contemporary edge. Third Day does it beautifully, and without compromising the heart of the original songs. Not only did I enjoy listening to this album, but I used it as a blueprint for many of our arrangements this Christmas season. Their original songs on this album are also very good. This edges out MercyMe's "Christmas Sessions" as my favorite Christmas CD because of how true they stayed to the original versions, with a Southern rock twist of course! Get this CD, you won't be disappointed!

Third Day's singing of Christmas songs is the sound of the season for me.

Seriously, get this set. The Christmas spirit will soar even more when you listen and watch Third Day and Scotty Wilbanks on keyboards. These guys are truly something special and you will know it about 2 seconds after watching and listening. You'll want to see them in concert too cause they are just what you see here. They will move thru your soul. They have a huge gift and they want to share it. They are really something special.

Really good christmas cd

I just love the lead singer’s voice. It’s a great Christmas CD that will be played every year in my home. I love how this Cd brings out the Christmas spirit in me.
