Beautiful Wire Jewelry for Beaders 2

I spent a great deal of time during my college days (in the 70's) designing and making jewelry. Most of my work was well received, praised and even purchased from the several Laguna Beach Art Galleries or Jewelry stores that carried my designs. After I was married, the urge to create was slowly stripped from my soul along with most other joys and I stopped creating. Now, after 20 years of divorce and a little therapy, I once again have come back to the simple joy's of creating beauty for beauty with just my hands, some wire and a few beads.One of the two books that re-sparked my interest and kindled the desire to create was, Irina Miech's, first book, "Beautiful Wire Jewelry for Beaders". The other was, "Inspired Wire" by Cynthia B. Wuller (which I first thought to be a little 'frilly' for me). But these books had such wonderful, clean and well described design projects that I easily motivated to slip back behind the work bench and start experiencing the joy in creating the art of adornment for my friends.I have since added several other artists-authors to my list of guides. My library of wire jewelry design books has grown, my subscriptions to jewelry design magazines have been well read and used - but I still come back to these two authors, Irina Miech and Cynthia Wuller. For more than a year and half I have been enjoying the guidance and encouragement of these two ladies through their various articles in jewelry related publications and I continue to 'drop' in on their books for reinforcement.When I noticed that Ms. Miech had written a sequel, "Beautiful Wire Jewelry for Beaders 2" I ordered it immediately. I have NOT been disappointed. As before all her designs reach out to you and almost implore you to take tools in hand, forget the everyday world, and enter into a realm where you can see the fruits of your labor. You don't have to wait years, or months or even days to see your finished work - rather in minutes to hours you have a project which enriches your being - to use yourself, give or sell.I recommend it highly and would even suggest that you will be 'missing out' if you do not avail yourself of the opportunity to spend time with this gifted artist and writer. Now if Cynthia Wuller would just release a new book....

This is one of my favorite books of instruction and ideas. I have returned to it again and again for ideas to prompt a new design, to inspire me and to help me to make something wonderful for a gift or for myself.Book one is excellent too.

Great == fun designs, easy tutorials.

This book is full of great ideas and projects. I am rather new at this so I need detailed instructions and Irina meets this reqirement for me. I like her style, color combinations and helps.

I was disappointed but to lazy to send back. It might be worth it if you know 0 about wire wrapping. With that said you can find better ideas on YouTube for free.

Love this book. The projects are easy to understand, and there are many ideas to choose from. Irina Miech is a very good artist. Her pictures are very helpful.

This is the second of Irina's books that I have purchased. I love her creativity and style. There are lots of pictures, and the instructions are clear. Her work has an earthy appeal, and the projects are varied.

I bought this book as I already have the first one and I am not disappointed. The projects are beautiful, instructions are clearly set out and the author always seems to inspire me. I have'nt given it 5 stars for the reason that the projects are not dissimilar to the first book (a variation on a theme, shall we say)so some people may not want to buy it for that reason, because after all how many different ways can you wire wrap a stone? However, it IS such a beautiful book that I just like to look at it anyway.

見てるだけは楽しいかもしれませんが、日本人には合わないな〜と感じました。工具も結構専門っぽいので置く場所も工房も無いので、見るだけならいいかもしれませんが、見るだけには高いので日本人には合わないかも。専門的に進むならいいとは思いますが、購入するのはどうかと思います
