Engaging Series
I was concerned that my kindergartener didn't seem to be learning to read when a parent of a first grader told me to use these. He began reading in these books almost overnight. I bought all eleven of them! I highly recommend this series.

I love this book series
I love this book series. I just stumbled upon it b/c a retired teacher friend gave my son one of the books in the series. I figured there had to be more, and this was a sweet surprise.

A very clever way to teach 25 words
“Ice Mice” by Harriet Ziefert, a reading Specialist, illustrated by Yukiko Kido, is a very clever and effective book that helps children recognize words and feel confident doing so. The book helps kids learn 25 new words made up of ICE, UNK, and IGHT. The cut at the bottom of the pages which highlights one of these three draws the youngster’s attention that the new word is built upon letters they already know, such as mICE, rICE, and spICE. After learning to read the new words, they are placed in sentences, such as spice on rice.

Reading for Success
This book is really easy to read and follow.Having only one word per page, this book is a great reader if you are teaching your kids phonological awareness and word families.Geared for success this book is split according to family. After they children practice one word at a time, this book will then put them together in really short phrases. This is just a really great way to get the kids excited for reading. The faster they see success the more they will want to read later on.This book focuses on the word families of ice, unk, and ight.
