20-pack

During a 100 degree heatwave with no rain, we went on a weeklong vacation. With only one watering visit from a friend, these packs were able to provide enough water to make it through. The packs that were shaded definitely lasted longer than the ones that had sun exposure. In order for these to work, you must thoroughly slit the tube all the way to make sure the gel is in full contact with the dirt along the entire length of the pack. I even squeezed it out a bit to make sure the gel would remain sitting on the soil. Then you must thoroughly water to activate the stuff. I did all this a couple days before leaving to make sure they were beginning to work (they don't start working immediately).The recommended ratio of gel packs per pot seems high, but if you have no watering assistance, it is absolutely worth it to stick with those instructions. If you have some help, you can get by with less. Not having deep pockets and over 30 pots and hanging baskets, some needing water 2x a day during our heatwave, I doled out the packs on the conservative side. So I was thrilled to come back to very-much-alive-but-somewhat-wilty plants that bounced back after one watering. I will absolutely use these again!

Serious drought in California and need to find a way to water my bonsai trees with less water. It is the way but a little bit expensive. In summer it will last a few weeks but longer for fall of winter. It is a good short term solution for water. I believe trees especially bonsai would like to have water everyday.

I just opened two boxes of 20. Out of the 40 tubes of DriWater Ipurchased, 12 were open and dried out. I am unable to use them.

DriWater did not work well for my plants. I was on vacation for 1 week and several plants wilted from lack of moisture. This product does not provide moisture fast enough. It lasts for a long time, but needs keep plants moist in the short run!

Two of my friends love this product and recommended it. However, it did not work as well for me. The leaves on two of my plants got white spots on them. It did not completely dissolve. The DriWater pack showed beneath my plants, so that detracted from the plant.

This is truly an amazing product. We had a 26 day Heat Wave where temps reached over 100 every day with only one little shower to help. I had to leave town for a week on day 22. I had some annuals, a gorgeous Jasmine, a miniature Crape Myrtle, and Ivy/Liriope in containers and had been watering them twice daily to keep them alive during the heavy heat. With no one to ask to water for me, I was afraid I would lose all of my potted plants in my absence. I tried the DriWater in desperation. When I came home, I was shocked and thrilled to find not only ALL the plants alive, but truly thriving. They looked better than with my hand watering. This stuff is absolutely wonderful! Maybe because it has been so impossibly hot, I don't think the DriWater will last a full month, but it looks like it should go about 3 weeks.

Very helpful for keeping plants alive when there are dry conditions inside and out. I put a few of these in outdoor flower pots and those flowers survived our three week absence. Be sure to squeeze the gel out some and to wet it--- before departure-- so that it can be absorbed into the soil.bgj

I tried these on my houseplants for a 5-day trip, and I'm very glad we didn't go away any longer! Neither the dri-packs now the milk-carton gelactually worked, even though I followed the directions carefully. Get a neighbor!
