I bought these as emergency lids. The ones that came with our container sets started tearing apart, so there are times when we have a container but not a matching lid, and these are serving the purpose well. They also seem to make water-tight seal (see picture). From the look and feel of them, they do seem to be made of Silicone material only. My only gripe is that these are not easy to put on and off, so they can never fully replace the original lids, but we got our container set from US and the replacement lids cost more than the set itself, so these should do for some time. I wish there is an option to buy more of the smaller lids as they are more useful than the larger ones.
