An expensive but functional alternative to 2-piece queen capture/marking
A little difficult to shut the door with heavy gloves on. Smashed a few bees trapping the queen, something that would be easier to avoid with the hair clip style. Still, I'm glad I bought it.

Makes marking queens easier than ever before!
Purchased this queen catcher at a local bee supply shop and love it! Today was the first time I have ever marked a queen on my own and I was surprised at how easy it was to do! The slots in the top of the catcher are big enough that worker bees can get out but narrow enough to keep the queen from escaping. The neat thing about this product is there is a "stop" or bumper in the tub to keep from squishing the queen bee. The plastic that slides over the opening is a soft plastic, unlike traditional queen marking tubes.Catching the queen, marking her and releasing her was quite an easy task! I recommend this style to other beekeepers out there who are looking for an easier way to mark their queens.

Great addition to any apiary and a must have for a beekeeper with multiple hives. The tool eliminates the need for the queen catcher + plunger combo, and cuts down greatly on the time spent handling the queen, ultimately making for an easier and much safer marking experience.Love my one-handed catcher. Well worth the spend.
