Every Classroom Teacher Needs a Copy
As the parent of a child impacted by early trauma, I find this book to be the BEST one to hand to teachers to give them ideas they can use immediately in their classroom, not only with my daughter but so many others who have been impacted by domestic violence, abuse, neglect, medical procedures and other traumatizing events. Dr. Craig is passionate about reaching these hurt children and teaching other teachers to do the same. The most practical book for trauma-informed classroom strategies, especially for younger grades, on the market!

Real SEL Strategies
If you are searching for a life-line to connect with students this book provides the strategies. Often times authors in educations will provide two or three strategies which might connect with your students. This book lays out A-Z in behaviors exhibited in our schools but each is coupled with multiple ways to reconnect the neuron pathways others merely talk about. It's an easy read too.

Educating Traumatized Children
I like this book for educators and parents. It is not difficult to read. I needed it for a class I'm taking on a similar title and really appreciate the tips at the end of each chapter on what you can do as a classroom teacher to reach and teach children who have or are going through trauma situations

If you are working in a system with little challenges this is a great resource. However; if the children you are working with are more multi symtom then this will be an enjoyable case study in one dimension.
