Tons of herbs for energy focus, but a bit pricey
I understand know quite a bit about supplements and alternative herbs. One of the pluses of this product is that it has quite a bit of great herbal supplements in one bottle. There is Ashwaganda in this which is great to relieve anxiety and stress, while Bacopa is great in giving one a clear focus removing that pesky brain fog some get.I know some have commented that they were shocked to see there was caffeine in this. What stuns me more is that they didn't bother to look at the ingredients on this listing before buying the product, as it clearly states that. That would've solved any potential let down. The Theanine in this calms down the caffeine, which prevents those horrid jitters people complain about. It's pretty common today to stack Theanine with Caffeine for this purpose. A simple google search of all the ingredients in this would've also remedied any confusion. The reason I give this four stars, which is still good, is that the front page title of this listing says, Ginkgo Biloba, Rhodiola Rosea Extract. Neither of those are listed on the label or ingredients. This is false advertising that they deliberately put in the title so that users looking for those ingredients together will be led to this page. You can't be that deceptive posting something that has nothing to do with what's in the bottle. The other is that this is pricey for a 30 day supply. 30 day supplies for any supplement shouldn't be more than $20. You can get more bang for your buck simply purchasing caffeine supplements and Theanine and taking them together to get a similar effect.

That works well for me when taken on a regular basis
This product puts me to sleep. Now understand that Ritalin & caffeine puts me to sleep too. I have paradoxical reactions. It's because it puts me to sleep that I think it would probably be great for most people to use for focus.I really don't feel the caffeine in this. I can definitely tell that has vitamin b in it.One thing I really do like is the vinpocetine. When I take it day after day, I just start thinking better. I don't feel it but I'll noticed it math in my head becomes much easier, in my recall seems sharper. For me this is not a medicine that I can take when I need it, unless I want to take it to sleep. but I'm finding that if I take it on a regular basis, I'm getting a lot done, and I seem to be mentally sharper than I am without it.It's a good formula and I would recommend it.I love that they included ashwagandha which is a good overall tonic. It is an herb that seems to help my arthritis too. I've taken the Lion's mane and cat claw before in some mental focus shots there were quite expensive. If you consider all the expensive herbs and supplements that are in this, and the four capsule serving size, I think it's a pretty good value.A person I've had the best luck for focus and mental sharpening with ginseng, ginkgo biloba, and vinpocetine. Some of the ingredients in this are new to me but I have not had any bad side effects from any of it.

Broad blend of ingredients
I'm reviewing the Alpha Focus Premium Nootropic. The serving size is 4 capsules and and you take 2x in the morning and 2x in the early afternoon. The supplement is broken into categories of ingredients: Neural Transmitter co-factors, Synaptic Plasticity, Mood + Elevation and Mental Acuity. Each of these categories would make a decent supplement but they are all blended together here in an attempt to be a broad spectrum cognitive enhancer. Does it work?Starting with a bit of background - I have tried many of these types of supplements for years. Some cause headaches and some have no discernible affect. Others have been quite effective. For me, I've found that Phospatidylserine works well as does Huperzine A and PQQ. Each person is completely different.I find this supplement to be more effective than most. I like to keep my mind sharp and this is a good blend of ingredients that can do that. The Caffeine Anhydrous in this supplement is 100mg for 4 capsules, equivalent to one cup of home brewed joe. That's why they say to take this no later than early afternoon.Overall, I am pleased with the results from taking this for a couple of weeks. For me, it works well and I would recommend it.

Interesting attempt, too complicated
Solid packaging, informative label. What is bacopa and why is there caffeine in here?Of the cognitive enhancement projects I have tried, including Chaotic Labz Mind Hack, and Natrica Memory & Brain Support Formula, this product AlphaFocus is the one I would use less. Why? Because I think they are mixing in too many things and this wide variety of ingredients is trying too hard to hit a sweet spot. As different people react differently to different ingredients on a gradient scale, this trying to fine tune a formula with all this stuff is very problematic. There are too many ingredients here for you to know which is good for 'you' and which are not. And this thing about caffeine? Why? Its like when people think black pepper is the only spice to use to flavor food. No thanks. A nice attempt, but too much in this one. Worth a try? Yes.
