Run, don't walk, and buy something else!
I bought this item at Home Depot, and it is so bad I felt it a public service to warn people to NOT buy this! Under any circumstance should you spend money on this piece of junk...The app that is required to use this device is the most poorly written thing I have ever used in my life. We are talking porn scripts and dialogue are pulitzer prize winners compared to the quality here.IF you can manage to get the app to work and connect to the device you then find that the device itself works just about as well as the app does. The picture quality you have is horrendous. It is useable if there is a lot of light in the area you are trying to view, BUT considering this is an inspection scope meant to insert into dark areas you can't otherwise get to in order to INSPECT the area for problems this is a little bit of a problem. When the only image you can see is a black screen, inspection is the last thing you get to use this for. If you happen to get the camera VERY, VERY close to something in the dark, which is literally blind luck since you can't see, you can see that specific thing pretty well due to the light on the end of this scope. When I say close we are talking 1-2 inches or closer.Being that this is a name brand device and I have other Ryobi tools that are great I am absolutely shocked at the quality of this device. If you insist on buying it to try it out, my suggestion is to go ahead and buy one of the other ones that don't require an app and have good reviews at the same time. At least you will save yourself the disappointment of having to do so and delaying the task you are buying this for.I am saddened that 1 is the lowest score I can give this...it really is that bad.
