Litter Champ 3-Pack Refill, Green

I was intimidated the first time I refilled my Litter Champ, but thanks to the clear instructions and clever "continuous" bag design, it was a no-brainer. I have three cats and three boxes, two non-clumping, one clumping, and I usually change the bag out each week. This schedule is more habit and convenience than necessity because it's never full. The cats rarely use the clumping litter, so I use this mostly to clean solid waste out of the non-clumping, clay litter boxes.My only complaint (and it would be easy to fix) is there is no warning or notification that I am coming to the end of a refill. On more than one occasion, I have pulled down unused bag from the refill, tied a knot in the bottom and didn't realize I was at the end of a bag until I dropped waste or litter in the container. At that point, the refill pulls out and everything falls to the bottom of the container making an unpleasant mess. An end-of-roll warning stripe on the continuous bag, like the one used on adding machine or register tape, would eliminate this problem.

I absolutely LOVE my Litter Champ and also own a Litter Genie as well. In my opinion the Litter Champ is WAY better! The downside is the price of these refills! Luckily they seem to last quite a while before they need replacing and I have 2 cats. I would say however, that I think $20 for 3 of these is an outrageous price! I have looked for a generic model refill to use instead, but haven't found one yet. So if anyone KNOWS of another model or brand of refills that I can use with my Litter Champ, please reply to this review and let me know all the details. I would certainly appreciate it! Thank you!

The Litter Champ is basically a kitty diaper pail [seriously, ck out diaper pails on amazon!] and so far I like the design. It's easy to use and the "double door" system does a great job of keeping odors at bay [especially if you drop a little baking soda in the bag]. The continuous bag system is easy to use and the built in "cutter" cuts the bag in one swipe making litter cleaning quick and easy. It is all plastic and thus light weight with a "foot" operated flip up lid. It doesn't take up a whole lot of floor space & it comes with a plastic scoop that hangs on the side.My only word of caution is that with one or two cats it's great. But [yep there's that pesky word] with 4+ cats your going to go through a whole lot of those "continuous" Litter Champ bags and well plastic grocery bags are ....free [sort of anyway]. My reason for this multi-cat caution is that a few months ago I became mother to 5 orphaned feral kittens and the LC filled up rather quickly! Now that my brood is 5 months old ...lets just say I don't have to clean their box every hour or so!All in all it is well worth the money. After much research online of similar devices I am glad that I settled on the Litter Champ.

How I wish I'd gotten this a couple of years ago when my cat came into our house. It works like a charm, it appears to be well made, it may not look like a piece of furniture but it is attractive an unobtrusive. I have noticed no odor at all coming from it, nor is it offensive when a new bit of litter is dropped into it. And it works, works, works! That's the best of all. I had no trouble setting it up, nor is it difficult to change the bag when necessary. The bag with litter scoops in it is easily pulled down and cut, a knot can be tied off at the top of this bag and a new knot is put in the replacement bag as it is pulled into place. All this takes only a matter of minutes. Definitely it is a five star purchase and I highly recommend it.

Best poop holder out there! I had the litter genie first and I hated it. The genie is so messy to deal with. Having to flip the top part (where the poop goes) open to discard used portions of the bags and to refill was not ideal. There were many other reasons that I dislike the litter genie. Now the litter champ, I love the design. I like that it has the door separate from opening that the waste goes. it makes changing and refilling the bags easy and clean. The only part I don't care for is the design of the top. The little trap door thing makes things sorta messy especially when you have big clumps of urine soaked litter. But it's not a deal breaker I just get a little hand sweeper and sweep any excess litter into the opening.

I do not know how they do it, but you smell NOTHING through these bags. These were thinner than I though they would be and though surely I will smell at least a little something. Nope! Nothing, zilch! Some others have posted reviews on the Litter Champ stating they use a different brand of bags since they are cheaper. I am not even going to try. I am absolutely amazed at how well these work and I do not want to take a chance on getting something cheaper that does not work as well.

I like the Litter Champ system. Makes it real easy to take the litter out each time it's scooped. I have to read the instructions each time I change out the bag, lol. Maybe after a few more times I will remember. It is pretty easy after all. The smell of the bags is definitely strong but you'd have to have a real strange sense of smell to say it is worse than the smell of a dirty cat box. I think the chemical nature of it is such that you could probably leave the litter sitting in it and scoop a couple times before taking it out and it would kill or cover up most of the nasty smell of the urine and feces. My major complaint is that the bags don't last nearly long enough and are a bit expensive. Seems like they could sell at 3/4 or half the price or pack more in for your money. I don' think I quite get a month's use out of each bag with 3 cats and I try to waste as little of the length as possible.

Made of good, strong material. It's impregnated with a mild, pleasant scent. I have had my Litter Champ for well over a year, and I've used the original liner, two of the refills, and only just started on the third. I have filled these things way up to the top of the device, and they have not broken on the way to the dumpster. I have two adult cats, and only have to empty the device about once a week. As long as I have cats, I will continue to order these.
