I normally wear a 2x. What size would I need… 1, 2, 3, 4, 5?

All I can only tell you my experience. I am a true size 14 in Levi jeans and wear a size 8 undies. (Or XL) I ordered a size 3 and they were a perfect fit. So I would would say either a 4 or a 5 if you are a 2X.

How are the black out tights different from the regular black tights?

I bought them mostly for the control top and warmth. I bought them for a February wedding in 20 degree weather where I needed to wear a dress. They were very warm, true to the black color, amazing control top as I didn’t feel the need for spanx. Overall a nice pair of tights.
