Have not tested this yet but I was a little worried it would be a cheap imitation of the LED Chord (not that the LED Chord is 'name brand' or something). To my surprise it is the exact same item right down to the SKU.Initially received the 'Invalid device' and connect to Android phone to control the app. Resolved this by downloading the updated LED Chord app.However, it appears the internals of the SPL controller are wired backwards. Red controls green and green controls red. So several of the colors are backwards or inverted. Will be asking seller for a replacement and will update review based on the outcome.

I thought the ambient road noise would be a deal breaker for this little guy. I’ve been a big fan and long time user of the SP105e for it’s convenient functionality, regardless of the clunky, obviously rushed and slapped together MagicLED app that’s still simple to operate and get the results I desire. The LED CHORD app isn’t desirable, it too is clunky and doesn’t provide much customization of color schemes if you’re using mic driven modes, but the ambient road noise in my application is non existent, and that is enough to blow me away. 10/10. Will buy again.

I almost sent it back. I couldn't get it to connect to bluetooth. I was trying to connect it the way I always connect a bluetooth device, That wasn't working. You connect it by using the app. Also the top box on the app scrolls so you can see the device. The app needs work. Somebody need to make a YouTube video.

Poor instructions, when wired according to the directions it came with this controller burned out my WS2812B LED strip. All wiring was done according to the directions. It accepts up to 24v input but doesn’t regulate it down to 5v for the LEDs so using it wired as directed (vcc to DC in) will ruin your strips if you use anything but a 5v supply. This warning can be found in the online product manual but wasn’t specified anywhere on this listing.

I purchased two of these and use them to creat LED matrix and LED light. It give beautiful color and works as expected. Also the mic quality is very good and you can adjust it’s sensitivity using the app

Warning 5v-24v input is only for the controller if you connect MORE than 5v and connect 5v leds you will smoke the led strip ask me how i know!!!

The media could not be loaded.  Awesome for a fun project out of scrap parts. Got a ton of noise when I tried to use the line input but the built in microphone works great and it really helps to be able to adjust the sensitivity to match how far the mic is from the speaker.
