Kelly Nishimoto Silk Social Gathering (w/pocket)

I am a big fan of charmeuse silk. This silk shirt is about maybe 10-15 momme weight silk. The color is beautiful as always with silk because it takes dying beautifully. So you will get a very vibrant and shimmery colors with this type of silk. I ordered a champagne color. The design is beautiful and a lot of thought and detail was put into making and designing of this shirt. Most silk shirts tend to be very plain unless you purchase a more high end silk style. The price is great for a silk shirt. There is a very slight stretch going in one direction only as it has a very, very slight spandex added to the fabric. However, the stretch is only going in one direction only. So I would say that this shirt does not have much give to the measurement. Be careful that you order the correct size. And it is a pull over without zippers so you have to pull over your heard. Without much give to the fabric, this could pose a challenge when putting on and taking off the shirt. The design of this shirt is a tight fitting kind. So keep that in mind.But here is the bad part for me. Unfortunately, this shirt did not fit me at all. I ordered an extra small and it was made for someone who had a longer upper body portion and very slender and taller. It was the length of the upper body that gave me the most trouble.The shirt fit very long and did not cover my bust very well. I will need to fix the shirt without disturbing the design somehow. I measured 33 inches in the bust and the length of my collar bone down to the crotch area is about 21 inches and I weight 92 pound. I normally wear XS but this did not fit me well at all. And this shirt is much longer in the upper area.even if I ordered a size small, I don't believe this shirt would fit me at all. The bust would be covered but the length would be all wrong. It is made for a slender upper body type of person.To be fair, I want to give the 3 stars for design, color, tailoring and pricing. But I have to take off 2 stars for the poor fitting. If you decide to order this shirt, I suggest contacting the company and give them your body measurement and ask them to give you suggestions for the sizing that would work for you. You need to make sure this shirt is right for your body type. I believe this is made for someone who has a longer upper body and that the shirt is not too tight since there is hardly any stretch to the fabric. Generally, charmeuse comes without stretch or with a slight spandex added to it for very slight stretch. The slight stretch in this shirt did not help much except for accommodation of slight body movement such as if you were to stretch your arm up.
