Utah Mountaineering Guide Paperback – July 1, 1997

Probably the only mountaineering guide in Utah. Why? Because it covers everything of note, summer and winter. Good maps, good descriptions. You will need another map - but this book is often the key to finding the route up some of the more intimidating mountains of Utah.

This book does not have that many true mountaineering routes. It is more like what mountains to climb in winter. There are not much gear required for most of the hikes and most of them do not last more than a half a day long. In my opinion a mountaineering route requires climbing, ice climbing or protection equipment and is longer than a half day.
