UPDATE TO THIS REVIEW 1/31/15: I WROTE TO LIPTON AND THEY ASSURED ME THEY WOULD CHANGE THIS SOUP BACK TO THE ORIGINAL NOODLES USED & THEY FINALLY HAVE (IN GROCERY STORES, @ LEAST) CAN'T SAY IF AMAZON HAS CORRECT PRODUCT YET. LIPTON SAID THAT THEY WOULD REVERT TO ORIGINAL BUT I WOULDN'T SEE IT UNTIL STOCK RAN OUT - SO NO GUARANTEESThe product shipped was Not the product you see on the picture. At 1st the Extra Noodle was amazing. They simply added more noodles. Now, the only thing I can find in the grocery stores is "new wide noodle" soup written right below thewith real chicken' blue label. I ordered 2 cases of this because of what it says it is on the label. Turns out you can't return any food orders. I strongly suggest anyone like our family, who Loved Lipton Soup Secrets buy the 'with extra WIDE noodle' type in the grocery store 1st. The new noodles are entirely different - you wouldn't think that was a big thing, but everyone in our family agrees they will no longer buy this soup. I donated what I bought to a food bank so, hopefully, my money wasn't wasted. They really should replace this picture. The only thing I can think of people giving this good reviews are that they wrote them before Lipton started shipping this with the "new noodles"! Having more of the old noodles was fantastic. Don't order unless you expect the new noodles. I hope other people agree with this review, maybe they will change back to what they are showing in their ad.

Yum! I was so glad to find these here again, with the original style noodles. For awhile they had those extra wide ones that sounded awful, although I never tried them. Back to my tried and true boil some water, soup's done in 5 minutes.When I'm feeling 'fancy' I'll sometimes add some herbs and/or chopped veggies to this. I've also lightly whisked and drizzled in an egg to add protein before. To make a sort of el cheapo version of hot and sour soup I've also tried adding diced tofu and canned bean sprouts plus a few drops of Bragg's Liquid Aminos (or soy sauce) and vinegar to taste.But usually, this is my go-to soup when I really don't feel that great or have much time and need to eat something. It's fast, tasty, and reminds me of childhood somehow. I was glad to find it on Amazon because my local store has jacked the price up to $2 per box and that's pretty overpriced in my opinion.The only downside is the sodium content is really high, so I always make sure to drink lots of water with it too.

When this new "wider noodle" Extra Noodle soup hit the supermarkets, I bought it because they didn't have any more of the "old" kind. After one pouch, I immediately wrote to Lipton and told them how much a DESPISED the change they'd made! Not only had they made the noodles wider, but they'd cut the total mass of noodles. Extra Noodle with wide noodles was only as "noodle-y" as the old NON-Extra Noodles. It was a sneaky way of decreasing the amount of noodles per pouch, to increase their profit margin. I said that if they'd had even one person on their focus panels who loved the ORIGINAL Extra Noodle, that person would have told them that they were preparing to alienate 95% of the old version buyers. Compared to the original Extra Noodle, this stuff is GARBAGE! They have lost me as a customer forever, just to save 1/2 of 1 cent worth of noodles per pouch. For months I was able to get the Original from Amazon, but now even Amazon can't get any more Original. And I'll NEVER order this crap instead!

my mom use to make this for me when she ran out of time to cook lol, now she has passed sometimes I still miss this. It taste exactly like the old soup the noodle has changed a bit but don't hate it. It is really cheap maybe 1 dollar ish a bowl. I am getting addicted to it again. I put some eggs in and also some green onion, it taste very yummy.

This is one of my comfort foods, I have great memories of my mom making this for me as a kid, and it was the perfect food for eating when I was cold for playing outside.In college, I used to make this same soup, but to add some substance, I would put in eggs, frozen corn, and or cabbage. Each added food gave the soup a different flavor profile.Now, I have five little kids. The kids love it with eggs. My ten year-old makes it all the time after school. Now, we buy it in bulk from Amazon. Highly recommended.

This is one of our favorite "stand-by" meals. I will admit that we use about have the water than it calls for and we do turn off the heat as soon as soup is in boiling water (so noodles don't get mushed). But we love it. To make a full meal or change it up I will make with chopped tomatoes or a can of Rotel and diced onions. Or, one of our fave is add a little whole milk or half-half and a can of corn (with juice). I cut back even more on the water if I use the canned corn!!!! Makes for a meal in minutes!!!!! And, by cutting back on the water it makes the broth richer and the soup taste better!!!!

Lipton recently changed their recipe for their Extra Noodle Soup and switched to "now with even bigger noodles." I was very excited to see I could order on here and there was nothing mentioning the bigger noodles or the new package. I am very disappointed that the package arrived and was their new recipe. Now I have 24 packages of this disgusting soup that I can't return.

In the picture of the product you are showing it does notindicate it has new and larger noodles. We did not want NEW& IMPROVED noodles size. We wanted to send it back but could notbecause it was a food product. However we did get a refund.I wanted the right product not a refund.

got this item a few days ago.I did not like it. it tasted little strange to me. I thought it might be from something else but it made me sick to my stomach.

Price is now ludicrous!

I buy in bulk since I can't always find in the stores and my kids absolutely love this when they arent feeling well. We love this soup.

Rings where a bit smaller than expected. But that is not much of an issue at all. Great as a soup starter to embellish with ones favorite Meats or vegetables.

THEY NO LONGER USE REAL CHICKEN BROTH ..JUST FLAVOR

Perfect for winter lunches and when you are under the weather. Lots of noodles and enough pieces of chicken. a little high in sodium.
