The Guitar Hanger -1001, Original Closet

This works great and is well thought out. You do have to turn the guitar at a right angle, insert the head, and then turn it facing out. That basically locks it in place so if you should bump the hanger, you are not going to knock the guitar out. Also, the plastic peg that holds the guitar twists into place on the metal part and can't easily come out while the guitar is hanging from it. Almost everything is made so that gravity is your friend and your guitar isn't going to fall even if you push the hanger or the guitar around. The only thing I have to watch for is to grab the hanger, not the guitar, when I want it down. If you lift the guitar, the metal part of the hanger will swing and hit the neck of the guitar. I understand why they designed it the way they did and I guess I could do something drastic like glue it in place, but I've just developed the habit of lifting it by the hanger. Does exactly what I needed and lets me keep my guitar visible and easily accessible.

This product holds my Telecaster very well in my closet. It is a very good product.

I like the idea of being able to grab my guitar at a moments notice without the chore of getting the guitar case out.The Guitar Hanger consists of an upper hook part made of stainless, I believe, designed to hang from the closet rod and hold the lower hook portion which grasps the two sides of the headstock of the guitar. The similarity to the hook on a guitar wall hanger ends there. The resilient black overmolding on the two claws of the hook is soft enough to avoid scratching the finish on the guitar while the hard plastic back flange of the claw slips precisely into the bottom loop of the upper wire part. Thus the Guitar Hanger can be slipped apart and instantly reassembled, making it a natural for use in hotel closets while traveling. Disassembled, the two parts could fit in a guitar case or gig bag, as demonstated on [...].The two claws of the hook curve a little closer together at the front, making the grasp of the hook around the headstock very secure in case of any jostling that may occur of the other contents of your closet. Also, you have the option of putting your guitar in the claw frontwards or backwards to accomodate unusual headstock shapes.Is it worth more money than a wall hanger? You bet it is. Precisely made, lightweight, portable, strong, secure, fits most guitars, and it came with an Is It Hanging? bumper sticker.

This is a good investment for someone running out of floor space for guitar A-stands. The guitar goes in at 90 degrees and then you turn it so it rests upon the lower hook. This is good, because this design ensures that the guitar will not slip out. However, a word to the wise. I own a classical guitar with the standard wider fretboard. Even at the smallest width at the nut, the classical does not fit. My acoustic/electric dreadnought fits, but not the classical. In addition, the top of the guitar headstock hangs approximately six inches below the hanger. I've got this on a clothes hook so the back of the guitar hangs flush with the closet door.Yet and still, this is a good buy and the hanger is quite durable. Very pleased.

I bought it for my violin and viola, because, as far as I know, there isn't any acceptable travel solution in the market for those instruments. While the fit is not perfect, the ability to hang on many surfaces (not just in a closet) is priceless, the metal is massive, no cheap metal hanger here, the plastic seems very strong. Yes, it is a bit expensive, but for someone that owns several types of hangers (mostly String Swing brand), this one is of very good quality. String Swing hangers are high quality for less money, but they don't make anything quite like this.

What to get for the brother-in-law that needs nothing. He was delighted. I am the favorite sister-in-law. Everything about The Guitar Hanger is great.

I actually have a LOT of trouble getting my acoustic guitar into and out of this hanger. The yoke tips are so close together, that I have to really twist and maneuver the neck to get the guitar in and out... which causes me to inadvertently bump the guitar into adjacent guitars, or other objects. Most difficult is putting the guitar IN the hanger. It's nearly impossible for me to get my acoustic (which has an angled headstock) into the yoke without bumping the tuning pegs and/or the tip of the headstock into the hanger bar. Luckily, the hanger is padded in this area, but that doesn't prevent me from sometimes knocking the guitar a little out of tune.Additionally, as shown in the photo, the tip of my headstock is in constant contact with the hanger, and the hanger itself is at about a 10 degree angle... pushing into the headstock. I don't like that bar constantly putting pressure on the tip of the headstock like this, but I'm hoping it won't actually damage anything. Fingers crossed.This product is a great idea, I just think it needs some more testing and refinement. Or, perhaps alternate versions for different types of guitars. I think this might be better if the yoke was a bit more open, like other guitar (wall) hangers. Also, the current design seems optimized for straight headstocks. However, angled headstocks are difficult to get into and out of the hanger.I haven't attempted to put my 7-string guitars into the hanger yet. When I do, I'll update this review with my results. I suspect I'll have the same problem, since they all have slightly wider necks than normal AND angled headstocks.

Es excelente producto, bastante robusto, estoy muy contento con la compra, soportó fácilmente mi guitarra de 5kg es muy estable y no se mueve cuando queda recargado ya que cuenta con una base de goma redonda que se apoya contra la pared

Purchased this and the Guitar Bar Hanger. This one is a better fit for some guitars, especially those slightly wider at the nut. Prefer this product, more flexible for different types of guitars. Sturdy. Great product.

Ho comprato questo appendi chitarre perchè ho deciso di mettere le mie 5 chitarre in un armadio con le ante vetrate.Partiamo da un presupposto: io ho solo chitarre elettriche, con il manico di diverse forme. Pensavo che ad esempio la LTD EX non andasse bene con questo tipo di supporto, e invece ci sta benissimo.L'appendino sempra molto professionele. E' gommato nelle posizioni giuste: sui due ganci che sostengono la chitarra e sulla parte che resta in verticale, così che come ad esempio nel caso della mia Epiphone, se anche il manico appoggiasse sul supporto non ci sia il rischio che la chitarra si rovini.La chitarra più pesante che ho è la dean, sarà sui 6Kg e questi appendini la tengono senza problemi.Dopo numerosi utilizzi, riposizionandole sempre su questi appendini, non noto segni o danni nè sulle chitarre, nè sugli appendini.Se avete solo una chitarra è un acquisto da fare ad occhi chiusi. Nel mio caso, essendo 5 diventa una spesa importante, ma valgono assolutamente tutti i soldi che costano. Assolutamente soddisfatto.

Brilliant product. I have to make room for my tv to be moved up on my wall. I have an in wall cupboard with a removeable hanging hook that goes over the top of the door. Bought this to hang an acoustic from that hook. Did the job admirably. Although, wouldn't open the door with the guitar hanging. Excellent product. Recommended. 😉

Estupendo artilugio, tenéis que tomar muy bien las medidas de vuestro armario, y a vuestro instrumento, es fácil equivocarse y darse cuenta luego de que el clavijero es más grande de lo que creías, la guitarra o bajo más largo de lo que se pensaba o la altura desde el tubo al suelo del armario más corta de lo que se creía.
