Fobis Technologies WE-10 Weemote Remote Control

I got this for my dad. I could not get it to work (with an older TV and DirecTV hookup). I opened a case with Weemote and have heard absolutely nothing on this in at least a month. We recently moved my dad into a Memory Care Unit. In the new place, he has a new Sanyo TV with Charter Cable. I was also unable to get this to work there. I finally gave up and bought a Flipper Remote, where I actually did get a response when I opened a case and that one works great. The Weemote idea is great, but with no support and limited codes that work, it was a complete failure for me. My advice to anyone else is to buy a Flipper and forget the Weemote!

Wonderful little remote. Easy to set up. Big easy buttons my 3 and 5 year olds both understand. Big problem is that the IR signal transmitter is so weak/bad that the remote needs to be very precisely aimed in order to work. The kids usually need to get up and hold it right in front of the cable box. The effect of this defect is that the kids don't want to use it. Unfortunate.

I bought this when my youngest daughter was 2.5 yrs old, she is now 3yrs old. She has a tv/DVD in her room to help her fall asleep (no comments about that, I hated the idea but she never slept well except when she slept in my room with the TV so I tried it in her room & it worked miracles! She is my only child out of 3 that has her own TV) she kept messing with the buttons in front of the tv to change the volume or turn it on or off & hit the wrong button & mess something up & I saw this & thought it could work... Let's see if it does!!! Well we haven't had any problems with her hitting the wrong buttons anymore since I taught her what buttons on the new kid remote to hit. She can press play for her DVD, stop it & pause her DVD... It works great & I'm so glad i bought this!! I reccomend this gibu

Bought a weemote X TV and WE-10 DVD remote controls for an elderly parent who was having trouble with remote controls. Once these were programmed allowed the parent to gain independence in watching both TVs and DVDs. I programmed this through the learning mode to use the keys a bit differently than they were intended. For example, the Play button turns on the TV (Panasonic TV), the OK button is now the 'play' button (Sony DVD), the up arrow button is for TV sound up, the down arrow is for TV sound down.This has really helped my elderly loved one who is starting to suffer memory problems. Has given him independence to watch DVDs without having to call for help.

I purchased this item for my 80 yr old mother; who suffered a stroke 8 yrs ago. She loves to watch DVDs but got confused with 3 remotes; 1 for the TV, 1 for the DVD and 1 for the Cable box. I purchased 3 other "universal" remotes before finding this one. Now she has 1 remote for the cable box/TV and the Weemote for the DVD. It works perfectly!!! I even called the company with 1 question I had and they called me back the same day-my plumber doesn't even do that! Great, great product!!!

This helped tremendously for the long road trips. The kids would push wrong buttons on the old remote, causing frustration for us all. This is simple, perfect for play, stop, and pause. A pain to program, since my built in dvd player doesn't have a manufacturer labeled anywhere. But got it all figured out eventually.

Excellent for what it is. I couldn't figure out how to program the buttons individualy, but the codes for our DVD player worked to program it
