I assembled it for him myself, and it was not difficult at all, however I think an older person or someone with mobility issues (hello) would have a tough time putting it together. They would need help for sure. It is beautiful, and SUPER sturdy. Has a great storage area under the seat with a hard “shelf” like insert for putting things like glasses or pens/pencils. Brakes worked great right out of the box and seat was very comfortable with an adjustable back. It is larger than most rollators. In fact, we ended up returning it because my dad felt it was simply too large for him to get around the small spaces in his apartment.
