Does NOT hold up to WINDS :(((
Yes, it Does work. Tension is the key.Looking at the pictures of this tent you can see that it Should work, but you Doubt it, right??Here on the NorthCoast of California right next to that big body of water, we have normal breezes running around 15 mph. When it gets a bit Windy it'll run around 35 mph. Then there's when it gets brisk ;>It's still hanging out in the place I'd staked it when other tents had hopped the fence and wandered down the street.I'd gotten tired of having to replace those nylon things every year or two and wanted something a lot more permanent in a temporary structure. The canvas is IT for me!I like that they'd used a white for the roofing giving you a more open feeling than you'd have otherwise if they'd gone with the base color.I'm very happy with the construction. Tabs, zipper-pulls, netting in doors and windows. The floor is sturdy enough to dance on.The tie-downs and stakes need to be replaced. I'm really very disappointed that this tent has such a poor finish after all the fine work they'd done for the main structure. The skinny and very stretchy nylon strings and skinny smooth metal pins they give you stretch when dampened and the pegs pull out. It's an easy fix, not to worry. Just get a length of REAL Rope and re-do the tie-downs and buy a handful of those lovely orange plastic pegs that have teeths and you'll Keep the proper tension in the roof you need for when you get 3 inches of rain dumped on you, even With the rain-fly covering the roof. You will of course need to re-adjust the tie-downs after this happens. Good News!! Even with a couple of tub fulls of rain on the tent that you'll need to dump off, the tent Remains STANDING!UPDATE:After the ground got SUPER saturated with days of rain and some SERIOUS winds and GUSTS, it's collapsed Twice and the rain fly has completely died. The tie down banding along one edge RIPPED OFF and the ties From the tent to the Center pole ripped off.The rain fly needs to be anchored SEPARATELY if you also have issue with winds. Since it's integrated with the tent, it causes Severe wall flapping and even with heavy duty metal tent pegs doing their Best, it still collapses.NOT A HAPPY CAMPER :(((2ND UPDATE:We have some fairly Serious WIND and RAIN issues here and this tent does NOT hold up. The first thing that went was the rain fly, as you might have noted from my First post.I'd replaced the useless tie down strings that came with and got some screw in the ground pegs to hold the metal framing, also noted above. Now, the loops are ripping out.I'D RETURN THIS TENT IF I COULD. Not sure what I'm going to do with a $600 bit of canvas that I CANNOT USE AS A TENT :((((too bad the vendor doesn't monitor these reviews)

Good value but a little flimsy
The quality is certainly not the highest. The canvas is bit thin, the plastic floor too. And I'm worried about the zips holding up (the front door is already getting snagged after 10 days use). It's made in China. I wouldn't want to count on it in a tough situation. But for the money, this tent is fair value. And the design is charming, and its a pleasure to be in. Its great for camping out in the front yard or for short trips. The first two reviews posted on for the same tent but smaller (10x12) dimensions seem about right to me.

Great Tent
This tent we set up on April 1 through Oct 31. Its sturdy and its the luxury tent at our camp site. We love the look and its windows. I just need to get another rain fly. Because we have it up for so many months in a row the sun does a number on it but other than that its a great tent. I would recommend it to everyone.

The pole system is poorly designed. The end poles ...
The pole system is poorly designed. The end poles on a slant don't stay in place- they need to be staked down somehow. Last summer we had it blow down twice during thunderstorms. Also time consuming and involved to erect. Definitely not worth the price- I wish we had bought a traditional wall tent.

not even two years and the top cover has pulled apart and the poles are useless, no point in even trying to get help
Tried to get help from the beginning when it arrived damaged...no help. A month later poles started sagging again no help. Now, not even two years and the top cover has pulled apart and the poles are useless, no point in even trying to get help. Poor quality, worse service.

Its great!! Living inside from may-october,
Four months going on strong no leaks, one minor tear in the rain fly. All the stability comes from the tie-downs. I made a platform out of pallets and plywood and used zip ties to secure the tie down to eye-bolts. Great buy, a real life saver.
