I've used distilled water in my kid's vaporizer in hopes of extending the life of the filters, but instead of 30 days, I can't get more than a few nights use out of them. I think 6 days was the longest I've used one before the smell became bothersome, and it was more than discolored by that point. I have followed all instructions to the letter, but still the end result is the same - smelly, moldy, discolored filters. ### ⭐⭐⭐ I knew that they're not exactly like the manufacturer's filter *by P***E on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2015* I was looking for replacement filters for our Vick's GermFree humidifier, which only came with one filter that needed to be replaced after a few months. As soon as I saw the filters, I knew that they're not exactly like the manufacturer's filter, but I thought they'd be OK. When it was time to replace the manufacturer's filter, it was just dirty. When it was time to replace the Pro Care filter, it had mold all over it - not what I expected, or wanted to see. There was no change in the conditions in which we had been using the humidifier, and I had followed the cleaning and disinfecting instructions (every week). I'm not happy that there was mold in the filter, and will probably try a different replacement next time. ### ⭐ Wish I could post zero stars- DO NOT BUY THESE is my advice *by H***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2015* Wish I could post zero stars. This thing is disgusting and got moldy basically overnight, it stinks and got nasty so fast. We change the water and rinse the filter all the time, this is in my baby's room. Thank goodness I smelled it and check it immediately.
