Great kit. Fun to build and great to display. Really captures the essence of a spinner.

This is a must have for all the fans of Blade Runner, it is not a model for begginers, the manual is good but need total atention, the construction is a little hard, but the final result worth it. A little fragile during the construction, but it behaves good at the end. Very satisficed.

Any fan of Blade Runner is familiar with the iconic Spinner vehicle from the movie. For the unitiniated, a "spinner" is the flying police car that is used to transport Gaff and Deckard from the Sushi stand to the Police Station and later to Tyrell Corporation at the beginning of the film.It is a fantastic Syd Mead creation that bristles with flashing lights and really helps sell the mood of the entire picture.Ichiban Toys has the reputation for creating high quality custom lego models that are not "officially" supported by Lego.My first model from them, was a nice little "Serenity" model from the show Firefly. It was a scant 78 pieces but those pieces were used to maximum effect to create a fairly accurate rendition of the Firefly.This model is in a league by itself. It has nearly 3 times the pieces as the Serentiy and is packed full of detail.The box comes with two ziplock baggies full of pieces, assembly instructions, and a parts list. This parts list is really helpful as my model came missing 3 pieces. I simply emailed Ichiban toys and told them which pieces I was missing and they shipped me the missing pieces free of charge. Their customer service is second to none.The cockpit is transparent and allows visibility of the detailed internal cockpit and has fully functioning "lambo" style doors. While the model looks as if it can support minifigs, this is not the case as the canopy does not have sufficient clearance.I had some nitpicks about the accuracy of the Serenity model as far as the model having some "proportion" issues and mentioned at the time that all lego models suffer from this.I have been proved wrong. This model appears dead on. The windshield piece seems custom created for this model, but I have been assured by the design team that it is an authentic lego piece. They said that the entire model was designed around this windshield, and it shows.It is one of the few models where I was 3/4 through the build process and still was wondering how it was going to all come together. It is an amazing model.If there is a weak point, it is that the model is quite fragile. Some of the build techniques and use of SNOT (Studs Not On Top) require connection points using as few as two studs. This can make portions of the model a bit susceptible to coming loose, so it is recommended that this model be for display purposes only.While it can handle slight swooshing at the desk, it's really not made for young ones.Another nitpick some may have is the cost. Lego models typically run .10 to .15 a piece. This model is more like .25 a piece.I attribute this to several things:1. Use of some extremely rare parts, especially the windshield: There are parts in this set I have never seen in any lego set before. Also, the company must source these parts separately and since they are not affiliated with lego, they don't get them at a discount.2. The design. The design of this model is very well done and a marvel. How they pulled off some of the cockpit elements and the rear bumper is just plain impressive.3. Low volume. These are custom hand crafted kits. Each model seems to be crafted with an attention to detail and labor of love that is rarely found in the "corporate" models.Despite those issues, I still feel this one of the best lego models I have ever built. The two ichiban models I have really stand out amongst my other lego star wars sets. My friends are used to seeing tie fighters or x-wings, but really do a double take when they see a Spinner or the Serenity.They are definite conversation starters.Hats off to Ichiban for another fine model

This is an awesome custom set meant to be admired on your desk. Don't let anyone touch it because it will crumble. Even though it looks like its big enough for a minifig... It isn't. Simple modifaction can make one fit though. I've placed a Han Solo inside my set and now its perfect. This set is a must for any Blade Runner and Lego fan.
